donb06: So you mean coming out as a new wailer is now as difficult as people coming out as gay. My brother they thoroughly deserve all the taunting they get o. In Wailerdom, we do not look kindly upon cross-carpeting political prostitutes like Nigerian politicians. Bubu supporters should hold their side. I remember being shouted down as "tanoids" because we pointed out Bubu's decades of failure to lead people correctly, corruption as petroleum minister in the 1970s, getting kicked out by his own boys, PTDF waste under Abacha and refusal to improve/educate himself after leaving govt/jail. 1 Like 1 Share |

Daviddson: I honestly wonder why Africans write or speak the way they do. Unnecessary verbosity that you'd hardly find other races doing. Complete show off. Simple communication skills becomes a problem for us. Is he trying so hard to remind us that he is a professor? If the average person cannot read and comprehend fully the trash he wrote up there, then he really hasn't communicated effectively. I respect his status a a laureate, but the above piece belongs in the trash. BTW, he should spare us the wailing. He is a late comer! He should have consulted his newspaper library before elections, that way we would have been spared the agony of reading this write-up. Unfortunately he belongs to the animated mumu class he wrote about. 1 Like 1 Share |

LordAdam16: Perfect response to some dolts littering the cyberspace. Unbridled hatred instigated by a few tribal leaders for their own miscalculated selfish gains. Unfortunately for all, Nigeria is burning in hell because of that and the brimstone part hasn't even come. I warned them that the Yar Adua incident wouldn't repeat itself as they widely thought, but deaf ears were all over the place. They were trying to protect their tribal interests without any other considerations and at the end of the day, only one tribe enjoys it all while the other is just a glorified houseboy. Nigeria as at now has been dragged at best 30 behind. |

This has been expressed most recently, and near universally in the word “Restructuring”, defined straightforwardly as a drastic overhaul of Nigerian articles of co-existence in a more rational, equitable and decentralized manner. Such an overhaul, the re-positioning of the relationship between the parts and the whole offers, it has been strongly argued, prospects of a closer governance awareness of, and responsiveness to citizen entitlement. An overhaul that will near totally eliminate the frequent spasms of systemic malfunctioning that are in-built into the present protocols of national association. This was a masterful write-up. We need to change our perspectives. Restructuring is top priority right now. 1 Like |

bigass: Question 1: Why did they hate GEJ in 2014? A. Ethno-religious reasons. The bulk of his antagonists fell in this group. Over 60%. B. Overblown issues with his administration. Sanusi said $20b was stolen. He later reduced it to $10b. Later to $2-5b. Till date, and with an opposition government in place, they've not been able to trace the money. The opposition claimed he was promulgating subsidy fraud. Yet, when in his wisdom he decided to remove it in 2012, they said over their dead bodies. Later when the same marketers held the nation to ransom for fear of not receiving payments, they quickly passed the blame to him. Buhari is on record for saying they've got nothing on Diezani. Yet she was so villified. After over half a dozen independent audits since 2015, no one can say this is the exact amount Diezani stole. The same people who decried the launch of the offensive against Boko Haram and establishing emergency rule in Northern states were the same people saying GEJ was lacking in will to fight the group. The same people who lampooned all governmental efforts to negotiate the release of Chibok girls are the same people celebrating the release today. He said stealing was not corruption. Illiterates took that as a smoking gun to mean his endorsement of corruption. Yet the ICPC chief, officer in charge one of the leading anti-corruption LEA, reiterated the same thing. It is on record. For every Morro that was given a clean bill of health, there was a Stella Odua, Yakubu, and the invisible saint Maina that were deposed. And everyone seems to forget that the Immigration Recruitment Exercise was contracted out to a private firm. And that after the incident, GEJ ordered automatic employment for affected families. He also ordered immediate return of all the funds collected from the applicants. It is all on record. For every Alams, there was an Ibori. They said he gave the oil pipelines to criminals and they didn't suggest a viable alternative. NSCDC has had minimal effect on vandalism. And they say he courted criminals, yet Henry Okah is still in a SA jail, MEND is still a shadow of its former self, and he hunted and killed John Togo. I could keep it flowing like I was writing a novel. The bottom line is that those who hated him in 2015 had already started hating him in 2011. Everything was fair to use against him, from unsubstantiated allegations to pure conjectures. And it became a mortal crime to say anything about his achievements. They were not noteworthy and nonexistent. He was simply a reincarnation of the DEVIL himself. Question 2: Those who hated him in 2014 didn't they support in 2011? Yes, and the same people who supported him in 2011, in less than 9 months after he was sworn in (January 2012) decided to Occupy Nigeria because he removed fuel subsidy. What sort of stup*d support is that? Curiously, it was after Occupy Nigeria, that subsidy payments ballooned to 25-50% our budget annually. The same people who claimed to have supported him in 2011 were blind to the improvements that were happening under him. They called it paper achievements. Today, they are clamoring for those same paper achievements. Things like the containment of Ebola that seemed so easy under the man were all dismissed because they claimed they wanted a Singapore. A person who voted for GEJ in 2011 and voted for Buhari in 2015 is worse than someone who voted Buhari in 2011 and voted for Buhari in 2015. The former has a damaged cerebrum. The latter doesn't have one. An example of someone who supported GEJ in 2011 and didn't in 2015 is Ameachi. Yet in 2015, it is on record that Ameachi confessed to not knowing that trains operated in Nigeria. It is on record. Question 3: Agreed PMB is incompetent? But Was GEJ not incompetent? This is the meaning of incompetence: "not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully." That cannot be said of GEJ. GEJ was not incompetent. You could argue that he didn't do enough, but anyone with a shroud of decency and objectivity can actually point to reasons why. Nigeria's budget in each of GEJ's 5 years was N4 trillion. We used an average of N1.2 trillion for subsidy. He used N1.8 trillion plus for ONLY salaries. He was left to use N1 trillion for the fight against Boko Haram (using dispirited troops, a defense hierarchy inundated with saboteurs, and a ravaged region that didn't support the war); infrastructure; boost the economy; pay other recurrent overheads, such as funding the universities, hospitals, research institutes and the likes; as well as other expenditures too numerous to mention. Yet he was able to build more universities, expand the transmission and generating electrical capacity, rehabilitate tens of thousands of kilometers of road, revitalize the rail sector, rapidly increase our food sufficiency capability thanks to the agricultural revolutions, grow our economy by an average of 6% and reduce inflation rate; amongst several other achievements. Anyone who says GEJ is incompetent is M*D! Very M*D! -Lord 1 Like 2 Shares |

Lush100: Anyone who didn't know Buhari will not perform better than GEJ in 2015 deserves to have uninterrupted adult supervision. The person is the very definition of d*mb! If in 2019, the choice for example is between Buhari and Atiku. A very simple question to decide who to vote for is, which of these two would I choose to run my business and why? If for some reason you think both people don't hit the mark, there's an option to take, don't support or vote anyone. YES. That's an option. I have more respect for people who decided not to vote in 2015 than those who decided to vote Buhari because "although Buhari was not an option, GEJ was also not an option." STUPID*TY. 2011: GEJ-22M, GMB-12M 2015: GEJ-12M, GMB-15M That's why I laugh at people who say they can simply remove GMB like they "removed" GEJ. GMB has 12M assured voters who would ALWAYS vote for him, REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE DOES. Even if he sells Nigeria on eBay, not one of those voters would vote anyone else in 2019. GMB with his power of incumbency and rigging only has to frustrate the politics of any of his challengers. Just wait until the tail end of 2018. All these leeway everyone has given him, where he reinstates a criminal and everyone is scared to call his name; there's fuel scarcity and reintroduction of fuel subsidy and everyone is scared to call his name although he is the Minister of Petroleum. He'd double down on it to crush the politics of his opponents, and nothing will happen. They've already gagged the media. Phone-ins are all screened. It is only online that there's so much Buhari apathy. Offline, the radio and tv programs that used to spur reactions have all been cut to size. Buhari losing in 2019 would be much more difficult than GEJ losing in 2015. -Lord |
