The Hubbub About 31st Nights: "Crossover Night"; aka "Passover Night".

God said to Moses, "It is the Passover meal to honour the Lord." - Exodus 12:11, GNB.

The interesting thing about the Lord's communication in that short sentence, was the word "HONOUR"! God had instructed that the Passover Meal be done in honour of what He was about doing in their lives.

Let My People Go!:
Now, did you know that the famous 'Exodus of the ancient Israelites from Egypt', was a mere TYPIFICATION of what Jesus wrought, bought and brought us through His vicarious death on the Cross?

The Mystery of His Work in View:
Did you know that when the Lord Jesus died, we all died with Him, and in Him? And when He was resurrected, we also, were resurrected with Him, in Him? This is one of the beautifies of the ways of God! When the Israelites of old killed their young heifers, it was the Lord Jesus so to speak. And when they Cross the Red Sea and onto the other side, it was the resurrection of the Messiah; a translation from one kingdom to the highest Kingdom there ever would be. When He was resurrected, we were translated as well -- we were caught up, and snatched away from the rulings of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of God!

Be Joyful & Celebrate:
Exodus 12:11 makes it abundantly clear of what the Passover meal is all about. It let's us know that we should be CELEBRATING, rather than wearing sober faces! Matthew 26:26-30, then affirms this as well when the Lord Jesus instructed that we keep "doing this in memory of Him." That is, we should keep celebrating the works and gifts of the Father through the Son!

For The Christian:
So, 31st Nights are not nights for spiritual warfares for the Christian; no, no and no!
It is not a night to "crossover from Egypt to Canaan," as it is often been depicted by some preachers.
It is not the night to "Passover from poverty, sicknesses and diseases," either!

If we must use the story of the 'Exodus of the Israelites' told in the book of Exodus in our sermons regarding 31st Nights, then, we might as well use it correctly!

The Passover or Crossover is in honour of what God did, and gave us through Christ! If you are a Christian, you have no business Passing over, or Crossing over to any other place! Where else is there to be translated to, other than where Christ now dwells?

Facing challenges doesn't totally interpret and translate that you are cursed and in dire need of a "cross over"; no, you're simply being ignorant!

This night should be a night of true worship in appreciation to the Gods - Father, Son and Holy Spirit for the Works of Christ for you and me.

Hey! Did you also know that it doesn't necessarily mean that you must be in a church building to celebrate? No!
The Israelites were in their various homes with close relatives or, and neighbours when they celebrated and honoured God at the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Take a leaf from them by spending it with people you love, and in serene environments.
Stay in touch with God by steering clear off wrong places and people. It is a time to look ahead and move upwards!
