Instead of giving kudos to a young man with innovative ideas on community development, you are here making smart comments. You are one of those village people they warn us about... kiss

Corper Stenon please I would love to ask how it all began, like what spurred you up to embark on such project knowing fully well that u are in a remote place in Niger state, and u were very sure finance would be a major constrain, so what was that driving force that kept you going,
This would go a long way so that we youths can learn one or twi things and start the change in our own localities

Charity begins at home. These two are not real omoluabis, to think indigenes of Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Oyo and so on are left to their nylons leaves much to be desired.

STENON:
We contacted more than 40 different individuals, banks, ministries, and NGOs.

It was majorly funded by G15 Group an NGO in Maikunkele Niger state, kbk foundation ( an NGO based in Lagos) and Hon. Mamman Musa ( Niger state commissioner for youth and sport).

IBB lives a stone throw away up the hills, after Bosso in Minna, a phone call and he would have under written that whole project by a single check.

Niger State have really taken a back stage...BTW how is the condition of that Minna- Abuja Road? Is a huge shame that the road connecting the home two heads of States and other prominent national figures to the FTC (just about 75 miles) is in such a pitiful state.

Renovated?...more like reconstructed. Isn't this supposed to be the kind of projects NYSC suppose to embark on? ....isn't this supposed to be just another community development project by NYSC? NYSC has long lost its way. I am so proud of Stella and Abass...to see the need for this public facility.... to not wait on NYSC approval.....to not let lack of funds be an excuse to do nothing about it.... and to do a whole lot of footwork to see achieve their goal. I really hope efforts are made for this to be broadcast as wide as possible to inspire other corpers...but more importantly to embarrass those politicians...past and present... who should've done this...was their duty to have this done. I hope none of such is invited to the opening.@op...thank you for posting! Happy New Year Nairaland fam!
