One of the major reason why most people close up or get frustrated out of businesses is lack of sales. You hear people say "market no de for that business", " I have been struggling to sell off this stock like forever" and so on
While this could be easy to take in many businesses, it is very difficult to handle in Poultry farming.
The impact of the lack of sales or delay sales can psychologically affect the farmer so that he remains stagnant too long at a point or gets frustrated out of the business.
Unlike any other products. Our product is unique. We are talking about live chickens here. Eggs could be easy to handle but live chickens?
After encouraging lots of people to get into business, the next thing you hear them ask is "how do I sell them?"
This is a major concern among both existing and intending farmers.
I am giving you all the above hints not to scare you but to make you see how important this is and why you shouldn't joke with it or take lightly what am about to show you.
Though the title is specific on sales of chickens and eggs, it necessarily doesn't mean that the principles can't be applied in sales of any commodity.
Actually the underlying principles of "marketing" is same for every product. Be it digital, agricultural, or anything at all
This is why it is important that you take seriously what I am going to be teaching you in this series.
You're to take the lessons from every story or illustrations made and apply same in your business.
When you do this, you will not only sell off your products on time every single time but also will you be able to make more *money* in less time

One time while serving as a corp member in Papalanto Ewekoro LGA of Ogun state, I was so broke that i had only been surviving the previous days on the remaining food items I had. The allowance was delayed, my kerosene was almost finishing and we were already on a Friday. The thought of going through the weekend lonely and hungry hunted me and almost dried up the blood in my veins.
I was sleeping when I heard my phone rang. The sound you hear when a message entered your phone. It was midnight but it didn't matter because we had heard earlier during the day that we might be paid our allowance by the weekend. I have been waiting to no avail till I fell asleep and since I was checking my phone almost every minute, I left it near my ear when I slept.
The phone rang. Though very short and brief, I could hear it from the realms of the spirit. My situation has suddenly made me sensitive to every sound.
Quickly I reached out to my phone, opened the message and saw the alert. These idiots have finally paid, I said. Involuntarily, a smile lighted up my face and for the remaining hours till it dawn, I couldn't sleep. I just couldn't wait till dawn.
Why was I even excited? It is weekend. Banks don't open on weekends. No problem. I have got my ATM card.
I didn't have transport money to board a bus from papalanto where I was to First Bank Ewekoro. No problem. I will trek. The sound of that didn't matter to me even though it was a long distance on foot. As long as I will get my money it was okay. I will sing while I walk. I said this to console myself.
I'd trekked, withdrew the money and got some food to eat. Then my energy came alive and I became a normal human being again�.
The idea of ATM cards, Bank transfers, Mobile Transfers and all powerful products were built on scenarios as the one above. These guys are experts. They seat down, imagined painful and frustrating scenarios and then develop a product around it. This one product will solve your *immediate need* and even though you will have to pay for it usage it won't matter as long as it solves *the problems that cause you pain, frustration or shame and make you happy.*
The products don't just solve your problem but leaves you *satisfied* after it usage.
Can I ask you these questions?
*Have you used a condom before?*
Why do you use it?*
Your answers will be all or any of the following:
1. *Fear* of pregnancy or STDs
2. Birth *control*
As a young vibrant man, you want to enjoy sex, you know that there is a huge difference doing it with a condom and without but the *possibility* of getting that girl pregnant or getting caught up with a disease forces you to use a condom and enjoy it nevertheless�.
These guys know these things ever before producing the product (condom). They know how *addicted* people can be of sex. They know how much fear you have of *death* or *pain*. They know how much you want to protect yourself against the *shame* of stigmatization suffered by people with STDs or unwanted pregnancies. So they produce you a product that will solve all the highlighted problems and continue to improve on it to give you that *Satisfaction* you want. This is why you continue to find more brands of condoms everywhere with emphasis on "improved sensation"
Did you know that condom,coding and hard drugs sale faster than any drug in a drugstore?*
Ask the chemist shops in your area. Heck, some super stores even sell this thing�.
How about Phones and sim cards? Now that you're used to it, you may never understand the importance of this product until you have a love one abroad and someone told you for the first time in your life that you can speak to him by just having a device and inserting a sim to it. You have not been able to *communicate* with this person for over 6 months until this idea came. The happiness, the ease of communication when you need that money so bad, the cost it will save you plus the stress of travelling long distances just to get a message across and many more reasons is why you have the phone and a sim card.

Now a very quick question
Do you think people would have patronised the use of condoms before the epidemic of HIV/AIDS?
Do you think people would have accepted the use of ATM cards in the 80s?
The awareness of HIV/AIDS made the sales of condoms skyrocketed
In the 80s people didn't trust anyone to hold there money. Most people would rather have their money buried in the ground or saved in a box or anywhere they can see it than take it to any bank
So the idea of ATM wouldn't have done any good at that time.
What I have just shown you is the importance of proper *timing* in making a sale of any product
What I have been showing you are the works in behind the scenes of the production processes of any product:
Products that are built to solve these emotional (happiness, pain, fear, pride, shame....) problems....
Products that are able to *satisfy* the basic human needs (love, sex, food etc) either by providing or showing one how to get this.....
Products that shows people how to make more money to meet their every day needs or live their dream lives....
Products that leaves people feeling like a boss. Feeling rich. Raising their self esteem...
These and many more....
...sell like weed and if they leave you *Satisfied* they make millions or even trillions daily as though you're pushing drugs.
If you must sell any product and make a killing at it, you too must work behind the scene like these experts building scenarios that puts your prospects in those situations which gives them strong reasons as to why they can't do without your product.
This would mean that your product must be able to solve a specific problem at the time needed, have a blend of emotions, be able to save time and money or make your prospect make money....
....see why this is difficult for many to do?

Important questions that border around your marketing of chickens and eggs:
What would make a restaurant want to buy eggs or chickens from you?
How is your chicken or egg different from those ones they buy?
If they buy at first from you, why do they need to buy again?
Will they be saving money buying from you or will they be making more expenses?
Do you even know what kind or type of chicken they like?
Here is more:
How can you make them more money?
Do you even know how many customers they have on an estimate?
What do these customers buy more?
What type of chicken do the customers like to buy?
What suggestions do you have to give that could help ease their stress, make them more money, make them able to reach more customers...?
When do they need chicken the most?
Can they count on you to deliver at their most desperate and frustrating times?
I need you to start finding answers to the above questions. Dare yourself to think and go out there and ask questions which will provide answers to the ones mentioned above.

You see marketing is a whole lot of thing but most people just want short cuts
I didn't understand this thing too until the first day I sold 153 birds in 1 day
Earlier before that day, I was used to selling 10 birds per day or in 2 days and this kept my business stagnant for too long
But on this certain day, I had left for work and left instructions with those at the farm.
At about 9am, I was called to be told that some persons are making a scene at the farm. 4 of my customers had come to buy chickens. I was having about 200 chickens at the time and everyone of them wanted to be the first to buy as it will help them select the big ones.
I spent over NGN500 on calls trying to control the situation from work.
There was nothing I didn't say.
I changed the price immediately to NGN1000 per bird as against the NGN800 I had earlier agreed with one of my customers and they all agreed to pay
I insisted that only those with cash in hand complete for the number of chickens they wanted would be attended to first. They all agreed and said they have cash and want to buy everything.
Take small so the other can also have. No
I was in deep confusion because all of them are good customers.
As this continued 2 out of the 4 left. This time I was angry.
Now remember I was calling from work. So you can imagine the frustration�
So I asked that I speak with one of the customers.
When I got on phone with him, I asked him to move away from the other seller that I want to make sure he is treated wel
I then told him I have other chickens kept aside. I wanted them to be kept for Easter but since he is a special customer, I will sell them to him. I told him they are even bigger than the ones he is seeing in the cage outside and I will sell them to him at the same price.
Ladies and gentlemen, this was how I saved the day.
The first guy bought 120 birds and paid cash.
The second came back in the evening and bought 33 birds bird cash
I got NGN153,000 in one day�
This was the first time this was happening
Something began to happen to my senses.
So I imagined what would happen if I had stocked say 500 birds and sold them in 1 day
That would be *NGN500,000* �
I knew right then that we needed to scale up.
This was how we expanded for the first time from 250 capacity to a 700 broiler bird capacity.
You see, you can never be able to scale up to a 100 birds if you're struggling to sell 50 birds
So the problem is not having the capacity to stock 1000 birds. The problem is, can you sell them? If yes
Our product is unique.
It has seasons that people buy more
It is a living thing. The longer it stays the more expenditure incurred and the less your profiting if not careful
We only have the chances of at least 4 times in a whole year to stock, raise and sell same. 6 times if you have a good system and more if you have gain mastery in the field.
This means you either have 4 or 6 chances of going in and out of the business every year.
If you mismanage this, it will fall to 3 or 2 times and if you're running a small farm this can be frustrating.
On our next episode, we will properly define what marketing is and begin to develop strategies on how we can see through our buyer's wants, narrow it down to their needs and see how we can blend all the highlighted points a product should have (emotions, ability to solve basic needs etc)

Before I begin this episode, let me show you a screen shot of a report I read today. It was written around September last year. I need you to see that what we are talking about is real and no magic. I have attached as first picture since I can't share the link to the article here. Please read the first two paragraphs.
This is happening right now in the same country (Nigeria) you and I are in.
While someone is struggling to sell 50 birds some folks are selling these things in drones like weed every single day.
55,000 birds every day ladies and gentlemen. Brothers and sisters. Brethren, think about this�
I have been trying to find a short cut with which to teach you this thing and let you go and start selling and making money immediately but I truly can't come up with a very short cut for a lot of reasons:
First there are people here who are newbies, giving them just straight point could kill them or make them suffer losses. My goal is not to help you sell off your chickens on time but to make sure you're making profit every single time you sell.
Secondly, the examples and *exact* strategies I will teach here might not work in your location. Just because it is working here where I am doesn't mean it will work everywhere. So if I teach you and you go on and use the exact same without knowing how to modify it to fit into what you have, it may not work and since times change these strategies might continue to change a bit even though the underlying principles doesn't change. The only solution will be if you know how to modify things to always fit into whatever situation you have. You become a god at selling chickens and eggs.
To know this would mean that you properly understand the whole concept.

This is why I am taking my time to teach you everything. This is more tasking for me but it will be much better for you.
So I have always assumed that you're new and know little or nothing about selling chickens.

What is marketing?
It is the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.
Take note of all words highlighted in red.
Action: this means you can't assume a state of rest and expect magic to happen. It means you need to be prompt and timely. This means you have to properly get a grasps at what you do, or what you sell, the trend in your niche etc.
Promoting: notice this is in a continuous state. Its a none stop activity. To do this would mean you properly understand your product, your customers, environment etc.
Market Research: To be able to promote or sell, you must engage seriously in this activity. There is no short cut bro
So first, let us properly get a grasps at what our product is:
How much do you know about chickens?
What are the various names in English, in your native language, etc. What is it popularly called in your location as in weight or size,
For instance, big size or heavy weight chickens and eggs are popularly called Jumbo size chicken or eggs but here where I am, the local buyers do not understand what that word means
You need to know in sizes what they are called or how they are differentiated.
How about in substance?
If your target market need organically produced chickens, do you know how to grow that?
What if they want their chickens to be of less fat and more meat?
What if they don't usually appreciate dwarf chickens even if they are heavy? Do you know how to supply them with the tall and heavy weight chickens they need?
What if they get turned off just by seeing how the feathers of your chickens appear? Do you know how to make your chickens appear so fresh, their feathers white and clean, their weight heavy etc?
What if they want their chickens supplied frozen or processed? What if these processing they like is in a certain kind of way? Do you know how to do this?

The problem with us is that, we want to sell what we want and not what the buyer's want
We try to force our own kind of chicken on the buyers and it doesn't work that way.

We are yet to get any response from the challenge. However, I need to state here that you need to explain your answers or make them practically applicable where the question states so. Also, quote the question and provide the answer beneath.

How is your chicken or egg different from those ones we buy from others?
Answer: Our chickens are organically raised, hence providing you and your customers healthy meat for consumption. Not only is our chicken healthy but it is also suitable for every chicken recipes and since it is organically raised and matured, it meat is very tasty.
Our egg shells are strong making it nearly impossible for penetration by bacterial. This makes it fresh and clean making sure you get the best at delivery. We provide in both small and jumbo sizes fitting in to your economy budget. This can also be suggested as preferences for your customers.

One time I called a buyer to come buy some birds at our farm and when he visited, he said these are not the kind of weight I buy. Then he commented on how the birds were looking dirty
He left his card saying, if you have something nice call me, I can buy 100, 200 or more if am happy
I failed to understand what my customers wanted and I suffered for it
At another time, I called those guys who roast chickens and though the chickens were okay, they were pricing it so low. I kept calling and suffered many days before selling them
The reason why I suffered was because, I didn't understand *the price limit* they buy at no matter the weight of the chickens
I had spent so much trying to produce them those chickens and the more the chickens stayed the more I spent on them. I finally had to sell off and made nothing
You see, customers have
-behavior in choice of weight, buying etc
-they have price limit they buy
-they have times they patronise
And so on...
Your job is to find out all the "buyer psychology" in the head of your customer.
You also need to know why they're acting that way
For instance, those guys who buy chickens here have a behavioural pattern. Once they start buying from your farm, they don't stop till you have less weight chickens available
Let me explain, if you call them when they have started buying from a particular farm, they won't come to you. They will tell you plainly that they already have a place where they're buying.
Also, most of them like to buy in groups except there is scarcity of chickens
Those guys will never buy chickens above NGN1300 from you. No matter how big they are.
The reason is simple, they roast those chickens and sell in sizes and because of their location (ie where they sell) the people who buy also have a limit they buy whatever sizes available. Also, they make more profit selling the smaller chickens than the jumbo sizes.
Who's more likely to buy water?
Person A- a driver in traffic for 2hours, under the sun
Person B- someone sitting in front of his house under a shade
I got the following responses from our WhatsApp community:
Kenechukwu PFM: Persons A because he is under the sun in a stressful condition so water is inevitable.
234 70 2470: A, because he is dry due to the hot sun but the man under shade requires less water because he is receiving fresh and cool oxygen(breeze)
which of these will appeal more to the person A and which is he likely to spend his money on?
A. Ice cold, sweat dripping and fresh looking sachet water
B. Normal water packaged in sachet, not cold
Chuks Odega TP: A will appeal more to him and he will likely spend his money on it
+234 708 324: A- he is under heat and been pressured by impatience
[234 812 7014: B. Normal pacakege water
234 706 1230: B(normal water) is best for him but he is likely to spend his money on A(ice cold water)
You see, while the normal water might be best (health wise) for the person A, he is more likely to buy the cold one because that's what he *needs* because it meets him at the *time* when his temperature is high and he is all stressed up.
You can't continue to sell any chicken or egg. You must sell what your customers wants or needs.
Its not your money. Its their money. You can't teach them how or what to buy.
You're not the one buying or paying, they're.
You must also make sure you meet your customers at the point when they have no choice but buy.
The pure water guys know this and this is why they hang more in packs, foot ball pitch, traffics etc.
If you continue to do things the way you like, you will continue to remain stock. I learnt this the hard way brethren.

MasExcel19:our eggs are picked as fast as they are laid and as such, they are clean and there is no need to wash them which guarantees that the eggs remains fresh for a longer period of time. Also, we do supply our eggs to the various customers and therefore save the cost of transportation and make sure eggs don't get stacked for long periods which can affect their quality.

To be able to learn anything about your customer, you must first know who they're and to know who they are you must understand the value chain available in your business.
Attached is a picture of poultry value chain chart. You need to zoom, to be able to see what I am showing you.Our interest here is on the "processing" section.
This shows the various places or persons who can buy chickens from you. They include:
While some of the above listed can buy both eggs and meat, others can either buy only meat or egg.
Now, consider the above list and do the following:
1. Find out who you can serve best
2. Find out who is likely to buy more from you and the rates and price limit they buy
3. Use what we have discussed so far to study the customer's behavior, buyer psychology etc

There are over 20 but I am showing you 15�. Also each of these places or people have a certain way they behave (buyer psychology), a certain way they want their chickens, a price limit they buy, how best to approach them, how to make them buy from you consistently, etc
I am only going to discuss 3 here.
The things am teaching you cost me over 3 years of both trial and error. Painstaking time and energy moving places, researching and documenting. I have spent over NGN300,000 buying, subscribing to classes and watching videos on business models and since most examples are not always done on poultry or agribusiness, I have spent extra time making sure I refine these things to fit any agribusiness especially poultry farming which is my niche.
Though our farm is currently on 700 broiler bird capacity with construction of our expansion to 1500 on going, I have put all these effort in place so that when we finally get to say 20,000 birds, we won't be finding things difficult.
So what I am sharing with you are both current and future strategies.
The reason I am giving you this much for free is because I love you so much and want you to succeed.

Wow what a great teaching.
Am a serving corper at jos, plateau state...I rear 50 Broilers in a poor village. I found it difficult marketing my birds b4 Dec 24 until I buried my shame and sell with my NYSC vest to attract buyers at the city. Initially I plan of selling at 2000 to 2500 cos I only rear my birds with 45k but I discovered my nysc kit won me so much attention and customers while I decided selling higher to 3k and 3.5k and guess what I made close to 120k.

Developing strategies for selling at Slaughtering points
A brief at the persons around this area:
Buyers at this point always have their individual cages or stand. These cages are mostly filled with birds (mostly local or spent layers). Sometimes there nuilers or cockerels and at rear times broilers. Although this is dependent on location and season. One of the major reason why they buy local or other breeds is because of the high prices broilers are sold for. It cost more raising broilers and for this reason most broiler breeders will sell at higher prices in other to make profits. It is worthy of note here that, any broiler breeder able to supply birds to buyers at this point at a more reasonable prices will sell off his/her birds in no time because buyers at this point buy minimum of 50 birds per time (this could be different in some regions).
Depending on the location, the buyers at Slaughtering points also resell to those at the roasted chicken stands during scarcity or as may be demanded.
Most of these points are found in the local or Modern markets and for this reason their other major customers are private individuals who come to buy things at the market.
It is important to also note here that, most of these guys travel a far distance to farms and spend heavily on transportation of birds to their stand.
Since the major customer of the guys at the Slaughtering points are private individuals (ie homes) the weight demanded is between medium to jumbo sizes.
Also, some of these buyers are major suppliers of hotels and restaurants.
Buyer Psychology: the psychology of the buyers here include the following:
a. How do I get medium to jumbo size chickens at affordable prices?
b. How do I make sure these chickens are healthy and clean to behold when displayed?
c. How do I cut down on transportation or ease the burden at the least?
d. What if there are transit mortality, how do I cope?
Step by step strategic approach to selling to the Slaughtering point guy:
Step 1: How to approach the guy at the Slaughtering point:
a. Understand that the guy at this point will most likely be either good at only the local language and less fluent in English or understand the vanacula. This means that you must either be able to communicate in same or have someone who speaks the language with you.
b. Understand that most of the people at this point are men.
c. Understand that they will be most busy on days slotted to be "market day" and less busy on other days. This means that unless you're going there for enquiry do not go for business on the day he is busy. He won't leave his business to answer you.
d. If you have a sister or a girl friend or a neighbour whose gender is female, make sure that person is with you when you visit.
e. Dress normal and not too Behind on all visit. It gives them a sense of "he is a nice guy". I don't also mean that you dress shabby.

This is a continuation of "step by step strategic approach to selling to the Slaughtering point guy"
Before you sell to anyone, you must establish a form of relationship or familiarity if you may call it so and this is what I have been trying to teach you. From the nature of these guys, their expectations from you down to how you can sell to them and keep them coming back for more.
We have so far covered, their nature, their expectations which is included in their psychology and what you're expected to know about them before ever meeting them.
If you're lost in any of the aforementioned, please go and read the other episodes again.
Today, I want to show you exactly how to approach them.
Assuming all of what I have told you are speculation, you will need to confirm all or the important ones.
So, the first thing you want to do is go to these guys. Price the chickens they have on ground. You know how you go to the market and start pricing things as if you want to buy? That's what you will do in this case, except that this time you have to be careful not to offend them.
As you move along from one stand to another, observe the following:
- those who have plenty stock. This tells you the major buyers
- see for your self the weight they have. This will give you an idea of the weight in demand
- check the rush at which people buy or price. It is advisable to go on a very busy day. This will show you how in demand your prospect will need chicken.
Your questions, should help you find out the prices they sell to their customers.
After you have done all the above on your first outing. Return home to prepare your offer.
By now, you should have informed knowledge of the following:
- the price range they sell to their customers
- the weight they buy at
- the major buyers
- the small buyers
- their major concern. Is it in appearance or weight? Is it in the distance they buy these birds from? What is discouraging them from buying broilers? Assuming you observed they have more of spent layers compared to broilers.
- also, you should know the various prices they sell other breeds which are not broilers.
Now I will give you some strategies on your offers:
a. We sell Heavy weight chickens at NGN1000 only for orders above 50 birds and cash in hand. Free delivery
Assuming you're mobile and have done all your calculation and found NGN1000 to be a good price
b. Assuming you're not mobile. Make sure when these guys come to your farm, you order them cold drinks (especially for the first time).
In front of your farm indicate the price tags of the birds eg.
-small - 800
If you can't do the above, make sure your records shows that you're selling at a higher price for others.
Now, say to the buyers:
Our usual price for most persons is NGN1200 for this kind of weight but because you're coming from far. We will give you a discount of NGN50 for orders above 50 birds and NGN100 for orders above 100 birds. This is our way of covering your transportation cost and saying thank you for buying from us.
Remember, that you must have worked out your logistics before fixing prices. This means that you're sure of making profit from the prices fixed. What you're doing is only playing with the prices in their head.
PS. Don't ever sell below your production cost. You're not running a charity organization.
So let's assume, you will be making NGN500 per bird selling at NGN1000 but in front your farm is boldly written NGN1200. When you tell a customer that you're giving him discount inspite of what he is seeing you sell for others (in his mind) it makes him feel special and shows how considerate you're of his pains coming from far to you.
Sometimes in place of a discount, I give out 1 bird to the customer that buys above 100. That 1 bird can make all the difference.
There are many more offers you can think of just sit down and you will find them.
Now, assuming you have all these offers ready, the next thing would be your second visit to your customer.
If you have your birds ready or a week to be due, it is important to take them with you. You can go with just 2 or 3. When you have the product with you, it is easier communicating with your customer. He gets to see exactly what he is to buy when he visit. Your job is to make sure you can communicate your offers in the language the customer will understand.
What if your birds are not ready that you have to take them with you? In this case, simply go there tell them your offer and tell them you will call them when they're ready and that you don't mind paying their transport fare. Don't worry, this just going to be once. So do it.
Our product is a unique one. People need to know your farm before they can come to you and if you decide to take your product out to sell, you must make sure you have a way of properly handling them so they don't die.
Also, remember, that every time you go there, you're getting at least 5 numbers ie 5 different customers.
If you're very observant, you will notice one or two among them that leads the rest. Such people will either buy and return to resell to the rest persons there or will always have people follow him every where he buys.
If you have such persons among them, treat him more special but secretly. If he is bringing people to you, reach an agreement to give him NGN50 on every bird the people he brings buys. This simple logic was what I used to sell off 120 birds for the first time. Not only will the guy bring people to your farm but he will continue to do so and will always convince them to buy every time.

MasExcel19:Nice write up. Been a relatively newbie in poultry farming, I found it very helpful. Please, I would want know if feed formulation using Concentrate + grinded maize is an advisable method of poultry feed cost control? particularly when the birds are 4 weeks old and above.

It depends on the concentrate, quality of the concentrate and your knowledge of formulation.
If you follow the mixing procedure or instruction given by the company from which the concentrate is made then you won't have problem ie if you have bought a quality concentrate. The only problem with this is that your reason for using concentrate in terms of lowering price might not be achieved. Most times following their procedure would mean that you spend more especially if the price of other ingredients are high. Sometimes also, you might experience weak legs in your flock. This is as a result of low calcium which means you will need to add a calcium derivative or additives to balance the feeds.
Where however, you have a proper understanding of what feed formulation is about, with adequate understand feed ingredient's DCPs, how to mix them to bring about the required CP, then you won't have any problem. This knowledge will guide you into formulating all kinds of feeds that can grow any weight you want at any rate desired. This is the best

Sorry I have been away too long. Work have been really busy. Some of you here already know that I am both a civil servant and a poultry farmer. Upon resumption at work, I was appointed a member in 2 committees. We were to review both the Welfare and Cooperative schemes at our work place as the existing ones were not working well. After the whole work, I was further appointed the secretary in one of the schemes. I can't tell you how tasking it is to combine farm work, office work and other jobs. In fact, I have had to squeeze out few hours to begin the previous episodes "how to sell thousands of chickens and eggs in 14 days even if you're just starting". As some of you know this same series is being posted on this platform and our WhatsApp group. Imagine the work of shuttling those groups but I have had to do it because I want you making progress and I want to do more so this is not another excuse speech.
I had to tell you how hard i am working to make sure you're succeeding so that you too will put in effort to help yourself. It is not about reading things here it is in DOING that you see RESULTS. For instance, how many persons have put to work all we have discussed in the previous episodes?

I will be sharing the whole concept with you so you can by yourself develop formulas which will fit your target market every single time. The reason is simple. If I only give you formulas, you're limited. What happens if things change and you want to grow a certain weight for another customer? You will go about looking for another formula. You see?

Strategies of selling to the "Roasted Point" guy
Let me quickly state here that there are so much similarities between the Roasted Point guys and the Slaughtering point guys. For instance, how you approach them is the same, most times they are also far from your farm, and much more.
However, there are also much difference in the buyer psychology of the Roasted point guy and that of the slaughtering point guy. We also find difference in their expectations in weight, how much they are willing to pay, their target market and more.
For instance, the Roasted point guy is okay buying matured birds of 5 weeks up wards. He wants to buy very cheap then prepare the chicken to suit the taste of his customers. His challenge might be the time or cost of processing each chicken. I mean slaughtering and washing.
Your offer should be able to save him money of processing each chicken. You can offer free processing if you can or charge small for it.
Most of them also spend so much money buying ice blocks used in preserving the chickens in absence of electricity and if you are in a place where there is constant electricity. You can provide them frozen chickens or give ice blocks free or sell at subsidized rates.
Other strategies sited while discussing the "slaughtering point guy " can also be applied here.
Here is more:
There are a lot of things you can do to help the customer perceive your chicken to be the best.
Its easy, provide your customer with quality chickens that have more meat than fats. Chickens that are also very healthy both in looks and consumption. This would mean that you have to be good at making your feeds and including efficient farm practices on your farm.
One of the ways to sell out your chickens so fast is to make the customer see that your chickens are in high demand and that it is scarce too and you can do this even if you're just selling for the very first time.
For instance if you are in need of say *Pencil*. This pencil is rear to find and on chance you get to see it in one particular shop but the problem is that there is only one left and will take may be forever to ever find that same pencil again. Would you not do anything to get it?
Every time you make your buyers perceive that your product is scarce and of high demand, you increase their chances of buying from you. Not only will they buy but they will also buy at a reasonable price too.
In my next post, I will show you how you can spice up your strategy making your customer perceive your chicken to be of high demand.
