Yeah, Awolowo was a sage indeed and his ideas in 1948 applies to the realities of 2007. I wonder how many social ideas stand the test of time even after 50+ years.

Let's create states based on ethnic groups in a country riddled with tribalism,what a great visionary. I suppose an Efik will feel totally comfortable and be treated with equality in a Yoruba state!. . .A Nigeria where ethnic groups know no boundaries nowadays, someone is advocating creating boundaries based on ethnic groups.

Should the millions of other ethnic groups in Kano or Lagos get their own states up there too?. . .Ridiculous!

The idea is still adaptable to present day NIgeria.
