What will happen if Taraba, Benue etc is added as South East state as it is done in other geopolitical zone where tribe is not a determinant factor in grouping the geopolitical zones, SE geopolitical zone is the only area that have Igbos as the sole inhabitant without another tribe.

South South have Igbos, Isoko, Urobo, Ijaw, Istekiri, Bini, Eshan, Okirika, Efik, Ibibio etc lumped together.

South West have Iladje, Ijaw,Aworis, Egun,Yorubas,Izon etc lumped together.

The North have over 200 ethnic groups lumped together in the three geopolitical zones.

So forget this landmass thing, it is just a fraud tongue tongue tongue tongue

You are very stupid and i did correct you on the other thread that Ilajes and Aworis are Yorubas stop saying rubbish you dont know. Ijaw dont have lands in Ondo state they only migrated there. Egun we agree is the only tribe not Yoruba in the SW but they are a Yoruboid Group that have similar culture and tradition to Yorubas.

South East has the smallest land area. Period.

The whole of South East is the same as Oyo State or half of Kaduna State.

Since the creation of the Edo monarchy several thousand years ago.
It is weird for anybody to call igbo or yoruba a tribe and to say Edo is not.
Edo have only one King: Omo n'Oba n'Edo.
The Edo were citizens of the same precolonial country: Benin Kingdom.
In short, yes the Edo are a tribe ! This is coming from an Edo.
Since the division of Bendel state into Edo-state and Delta-state, a lot of nigerians from the east and the west have been confused.
It is like you actually belive the name Edo was made up by the nigerian military, let me just remind you that the Edo are a people and their King holds the title: Omo n'Oba n'Edo.
Now to you: when did igbo become a tribe ?
How can a tribe not have a central ruler, or anything in common except a few language similarities ?

Edo was never a tribe it only refers to the bini people who are migrants from Ile ife(source Chief (Dr.) Jacob Egharevba's short history of benin), at the time of the bini empire there where Igbos, Efa(Urhobo), Yoruba etc, Esan all different ethnicities, so Edo was never a tribe and its not recognized as a ethnic group anywhere in Nigeria
