let me tell you the gospel truth, your supervisor/manager is the one stealing the drinks. Always make sure you count all the drinks you put in the fridge and lock it always. Don't ever give anyone the key, not even your supervisor/manager

Mostly old customers tend to use the bar and few new ones that come there cannot afford any inflation that exceeds #50 on each bottle (our drinks are already expensive enough). When serving potential big guys/men, our manager will start hovering like a fly to know how mu4#ch you sold the drinks to them. If you add one Naira na problem be that o. Today will make it the second month I'm going empty handed in that company. Jesu!!

Bros I Can totally relate. It has happened to me before and o later found out that it was my supposedly Paddy that will always come and steal my money. Please always make sure you don't let anybody in behind your counter no matter what. Sorry bro, I can feel your pain.

I do not own a beer parlour but the problem discussed by the OP is common to all bar men. Assuming that you are leaving in Ibadan, I could have advise you to go to Top one Hotel Podo for better tutoring. A well structure system that discouraged the problem you are passing through.

Get your boss to deploy an Checkout System that supports open tickets. There are a few affordable (in some cases free) solutions. But your boss might will have to pay the IT expert to deploy and train staff on usage. He'd be surprised the level of visibility he'd gain from such solutions

How are you experiencing this shortages? Customers not paying or you not handing over correct amount of change?

Let me tell you the secret(1) put close eyes on your waiters don't allow them enter your fridge to collect drinks by them self no matter how familiar always have a note and Biro when you resume write down the names of each waiters on different column any drinks they collect from you write it down against their column so you don't make mistake ,when taking over from shift count your drinks very well to make sure it is correct......I don't know how your bar is structure because the customer is not to order from you they will order from the waiter then the waiter comes to you and you give the waiter the drinks so the waiter is the one to collect money from the customer and pay you that is why I said be careful with your waiter

If this is your mindset, then I can comfortably say that you deserve no more than your current ordeal.

Buy jotters or tell d owner of d bar to buy jotters, share it among the waitress and number them ie 1-to Wat ever , write their names on top.Now each time u give them or they order for drinks let them write it down, then u mark it till that page is complete u turn to the next page.make sure u mark each bottle of drink the order.At the closing time u calculate the total and give them to pay u.

OP no vex.. I no get advice for you but Na the salary I dey reason. 4h per day 12k per month

Shortages come via so many channels
1- book of recording
2- taking stock in the morning, and before u shut down
3- be the bearer of your keys to the freezers, give account before handover
4- don't sell drinks on imm(because u know the man)
5- have an audit on your stock on drinks and sales every 3hours
6- redeem debts and also add back recovered debts to stock on drinks

so you want to be working for free or at loss,look in some profession you have to very strict n hard hearted to survive ,its better you're not working than working for free ,take a bold step ,go thru d comments here apply some of suggested advice n stand by it ,worst case scenario dem go sack you which is better in my own view

What kind of Bar setting do you operate? Do you serve directly to customers or through the Waiters and waitresses? Do you make use of docket?

Your fridge is not lock or it is from the store... Just talk 2 ur manager 2 get u a key for those places
