Possibly the longest building in West Africa or beyond

The greatness of Great ife cannot be over emphasized. As a result, a new amazing structure has just been erected inside Obafemi Awolowo University that has got the astonishment of passerby. This is due to the exceedingly long length of this structure that is beyond the imagination of many. Possibly one of the longest structure in the world. It stretches about 0.3Km from health sciences through Faculty of pharmacy and OAU museum. OAU is known for her super architectural structures but this is a bit unique. Recently the university is seen to have been endowed with some newly beautiful structures that is complementing her original known structures and many still under construction. All alumni should note that OAU is not the same way you left it years back as many new changes have taken place in the ivory tower. Without doubt, OAU is indeed a centre of tourist attractions. GREAT IFE!

Other countries are displaying engineering genius by smashing records for tallest building and here we are competing for longest building. Any stupid bricklayer can build a very long building.

Congratulations o bros. But, showing this to my colleagues and watching their reactions, i await the day we're not gonna be celebrating mediocrity in the absence of any other meaningful parameters to grade ourselves.

Congrats for the elongated structure sincerely but tet's start with a defense of its strategic functionality and pragmatic Eco-friendliness quotient in line with its mandate as Environmental Sciences faculty or whatever. Especially with comparative consideration to contemporary structures of similar purpose on and of the continent.

Nor be by long dormitory structural design wey be like dumbed-down version of Noah's Ark.

The world keeps highlighting our obvious backwardness, yet we keep delighting in bathing our "browned-blockos" shamelessly out in the open under the noon-day sun on the road to the village market! Someone is obviously mad, either us, the world or the indices, someone somewhere is definitely seriously mad.

Some of us don dey tire of the flawed logic and obtuse paradigms, abeg!

How does it improve the university standing in terms of research and quality of graduates?
Till tomorrow, Egypt, SA, Ethiopia, Kenya make less noise but are head and above the best of our universities at the world stage.
