Please;what is this person's chance of getting a Canadian student visa?

1. Applied for MEng in chemical engr but has a BEng from Nigeria and an MSc in petroleum before from the UK.
2. Worked as a chemical/mechanical engr for 5 years+.
3. Married with a child.
4. Annual pay less than 3million naira.
5. Elder brother willing to sponsor and ready to present 50million naira statement.
6.He is 38 years old.

Pls what are his chances? Will reject his elder brother's sponsors because he's 38years old?
Will they reject him because he has MSc from the UK before?

Anyone has gone through this experience should kindly let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Letter of sponsorship and personal account statements are the best to go with. Company statement of account would suffice only when the sponsor is the sole signatory and also have shown evidence on how the company would operate well once funds are removed from it's account.

Sponsorship letter can be written and signed on a plain paper. Main thing is that it shows the applicants dad is sponsor and not the company.

Can it be typed as well?

I would say fund be transferred to applicant or if possible,in convertible currency or sponsor make full fees payment. Company account statements easily do not fly with officers. There is alot to prove when using one. Access to funds by the applicant is key in availability of funds. Available balance in a company's account would mean nothing if there is no strong evidence showing applicant can access it.

Also, tax clearance won't matter much if applicant has shown that he/she will access or have accessed funds declared. This is the most important thing.

Regards.

Thanks so much, one more thing, he later found an old tax clearance as at 2015, do you advise I include it like that or just remove it entirely.

Other gurus please advise.

When I did mine online, I got the notification that same day that I can go and do my fingerprints any day I want.

So I'm sure if you didn't get the notification immediately, you'll get it in less than a week sha, just be hopeful

Yes they may consider, cos there were many people on this thread who apply for TRV without paying their tuition fees and were approved

Hello Frankrobbn1, austinpee4, Ratawu, mcobex, bbclue

I just came across a preparatory course for ACCA students at Toronto School of Management. It is not a degree but it's duration is over 9 months. Total tuition is about $5100 CAD. I can pay a $1500 deposit for the first semester. Their entry sessions are in September and March. I already have a Bsc Accounting (Nigeria), MSc Forensic Accounting (United kingdom). I have no work experience in my field. Though I am ACCA part qualified.
I have the following questions please:
1. What are my chances for a PR through this route?
2. Where will I get information on the exchange rate to use and can I receive student exchange rate from the CBN?
3. How much should I budget as annual living allowance for bank account balance?
4. How much time will I get to work after my programme?
5. How easy or difficult is it to find a minimum wage job there? In the UK, it took me about 6 months to get a sales advisor role at Sainsbury's. I was working part time and schooling full time. I am wondering what the situation in Canada is.
6. As per the medicals, what are they looking for? If I have a chronic illness like asthma, will it affect my chances?
7. What is the going rate for flights to Canada?

Thank you in advance.

Hi guys, i hail una.

Please who has an idea how this works? I applied for over 5weeks now and till now, i have not heard shingbain from CIC. However, i need to make a travel to the US next month and would be there for a couple of weeks. Now i don't know when i would be contacted as no one is really sure and i cannot be running back if i am not done with what i'm going there to do. If i get contacted while i'm in the US, can i do medicals and also drop passport for stamping while i'm there?

Abi i cannot sha put all my life on hold like because i am waiting for TRV approval, the exact reason i didn't do paper route in the first place.

Please if you know anyone that has done this, kindly advise.

Thanks guys.

All the best!

jnyuwa02:

You are very funny and always talk as if you know everything. We have to agree to disagree on this one. There is a big difference between meddling in a visa affairs and a school writing in support of an applicant’s visa application. It didn’t start with me. Many schools write to support their applicant’s visa application I have seen at least one other person. It didn’t start with me. It’s the supervisor who always writes, his letter vetted by the school’s visa office before it is sent out. Depending on what is written, it can help the applicant in the visa process. The case of writing is even more justified if CIC is the one that initiated the contact with the school first, asking some questions. It is not always the case that the applicant is left unilaterally to sort out his visa and certainly not the case that a visa application is strictly communication between the applicant and his representative and CIC. Hopefully I will share my testimony soon and tell you whether a school’s letter can influence a visa decision.

Ps: I doubt such a letter written by a school can expedite a visa decision, but I believe depending on what is written to support the visa application, it can influence a visa decision, especially if CIC was the initiator of the communication. Ultimately, it’s CIC’s discretion to grant or refuse. If refused, the school cannot do anything about it.

Attorney jnyuwa02, Do I sound like a comedian to you? Of course not!. On this reputable thread, I have never claimed to be a custodian of knowledge, I am always open and eager to acquire knowledge at any given stage in life. I am not a guru and I haven't claimed to be one either. What amazes me the most with your post is that you always make use of the word Many to describe something you're unsure and uncertain about them. If you read closely from my previous post, I said a supervisor may decide to write a letter on behalf of a student stating the applicant research study purpose, of which this letter will be included during the time of visa application submission.
Definitely! We are intelligent beings and must not agree from same perspective because no school whatsoever has the right to expedite the processing of an applicant visa. More so, a supervisor lettter may or may not influence a visa decision.(Don't be too sure).

Attorney jnyuwa02, There you go again! By his grace each and everyone here will testify to their visa approval. It might not be now, but surely it will turn out good someday. Everything in life happens at their own time and pace. Each applicant here has their own clock and so do you.
Since you said CIC was the first to initiate the contact with your school, fine!. I wish you the very best in your application!

It will end in praises for everyone here. Amen!!
