What cheap publicity stunt? its only logical he has vacation days left, and his tenure is not been renewed so he needs to GO! and allow someone else to start preparing for the upcoming elections

Pls go and meet your IBB and quit defaming GOOD people

but if Jonathan is saying he sacked Iwu for executing a flawed election then Jonathan is simply admitting to us that the election that brought him to office is flawed.

If this is the case, why not resign since you are running the country on a stolen mandate.?

Jonathan just wants to appoint someone who will rig Jonathan into office in 2011.

Obasanjo made the remarks on Thursday in Washington D.C. at the Leo Sullivan Foundation Forum on Nigeria, while reacting to the removal of INEC chairman, Prof Maurice Iwu, whom he appointed in 2005.

Obasanjo said, “One thing that we need to reform in our own society is the politicians; we need to reform the politicians. With all due respect, if Jesus Christ will come to the world and be the chairman of INEC in Nigeria, any election he conducts will be disputed.’’

He never said he felt Iwu could not conduct a credible election, but mind you that is not an automatic tenure renewal also, simple the tenure finished and he appointed someone new

Jonathan said he has 2 options. To run as either President or VP

He did not say he is not interested.

Did you not see him live with Christianne Amanpour of the CNN?
