How to Destroy a Relationship Before You Ever Get into One
You need to know that most of what break every
relationship are what individuals brought into the
relationship. A relationship can hardly break if people have
a great life before they come together.
And you need to know what a great life entails.
Today, I'll take you on a journey.
There used to be a time I never wanted any form of
disturbances whenever I was working. And if anyone would
call me (my elder brother in this case), I would ask them for
some minutes more to finish up whatever I was doing
before going to meet them.
It goes this way:
If I am on my laptop and my elder brother summons me, I'll
announce to him that I'll be available in the next five
minutes, depending on whatever I am doing.
On that fateful day, my brother told me...
"If you're working and your wife needs your attention, or
your wife isn't around and you hear your baby crying, would
you ask for a few more minutes?"
That discussion changed the core of my being! I saw the
need to be a better person, rather than continue in the self-
defeating mental enclave I've put myself in.
If my elder brother didn't have that discussion with me, I'll
go into marriage with the thought of "Don't disturb me while
I'm working".
And should I shock you?
The mindset hasn't left me, even after a year in marriage.
It's going gradually and I'm becoming better.
And I'll tell you to check those things you hold so sacred
about you. Those things that made you seek privacy
unnecessarily.
