Founder of Complete Care and Aid Foundation, Hajiya Aisha Wakil, has revealed that Boko Haram insurgency has made sanitary pad unavailable to many women in troubled Borno State.

ThisDay reports that Wakil, popularly called Mama Boko Haram revealed that many women who are now victims of insurgency have resorted to using sand and ashes in place of sanitary pad during their monthly menstrual cycle.

“One of the effects of insurgency is that women and girls are using sand and ashes in place of sanitary pad for their menses and this is unhygienic and unhealthy for women and girls.

Menstrual pad is a luxury for poor women in Borno. Strange as it may sound but poor women and girls in community and IDP camps are still using rags filled with sand, or ashes as an alternative for sanitary napkins during their menstrual period, thus exposing themselves more to vaginal infections.”

So when their men visit the place they will be packing sand? Are they with builders? Or were they starting a cement factory yonder?

Nigeria the poorest country in the world, having the highest number of people living below poverty line, about 82mil people. I'm not surprised by this news, most African countries are far ahead of us. This shit can't even happen in Zimbabwe

angry angry angry

These people and stupidity. You are using several yards of fabric to cover your face, head and shoulders like a masquerade and yet you cannot conserve some of that material to use as sanitary pads which are more essential to your pesonal hygiene and dignity as women.

Please go and bleat like goats to your MUDslime brethren. We Christians are dealing with real emergeñcies like the kidnap of our women by MUDSLIMES.

Just imagine and the northern governors have the guts to throw lavish wedding parties amounting up to billions of Naira. Only in Nigeria! When people call for total revolution, some people would start talking from both sides of their both. The corrupt, rich elite keep getting richer in Nigeria, for ordinary mosquito bite they can fly their children abroad, yet the illiterate masses who voted them in based on religious or tribal sentiment would be the ones to suffer, Just yesterday I read a quote from that devilish imp in Aso rock, the imp challenged bill gates view and even commended the FG for supporting local content and investing in Nigerians, is this what they mean by supporting local content? we spend billions on fake MLK awards, spend billions of frivolous lavish weddings, spend billions inviting a fashion model but we wouldn't spend half that amount on the people. Only in Nigeria
