proverb 31 v6 said give hard drink/beer to those who want to perish.

if you are not satisfy with this verse let do this simple illustration: buy beer and soft drink and take it inside the church, start with beer, let see if anybody will raise any eyebrow or not

Not all man. Veleta and Eve are some non alcoholic wines in Nigeria. Wine is basically Grape juice. The more it is left to mature, the greater the alcohol in it.

But no I don't think consuming alcohol is a sin.

There is nothing like non-alcoholic wine. All wines are alcoholic. The so called Eva 'Wine' is not a wine. It is a sparkling grape juice. Just a grape juice that is carbonated.
The importer labeled it as wine as a marketing gimmick to push the product. And the strategy worked. By the way, the 'wine' label seems to be limited to the carton. I didn't see the wine label on the bottle. That made me to suspect the importer just labeled the carton as wine for marketing in Nigeria. But the Spanish bottler wouldn't label the bottle as wine probably because it's not wine but juice. I don't know if they still bottle it in Spain.
I haven't checked out Valeta.

Is alcohol a sin?

This particular topic has been bothering me, i once asked a Rev Father, who said its not a sin.

On the contrary i met another man of God(prophet) who said alcohol has an evil spirit in it, it has demons that controls who ever takes it.

But on friday, my cousin who happens to be a prophet came around and has been drinking Williams(beer) comfortably from my fridge and he said neither can alcohol stop his gift of prophecy nor possess him with demon.

I really need help concerning this topic and scriptures to back it up.

#thanks

Alcohol is not a sin Oga. It becomes one when taken in excess. There was nothing like nonalcoholic wine in the biblical times. Please ignore the guy or man that told you it is a sin.

They are not wine in the strict sense. They are versions that are produced as alternatives for who do not take alcohol.

Consuming alcohol is not a sin.

That's why the wine used in the biblical last supper was alcoholic as is still used today in the Catholic church.

After drinking it, most of them got high.
Judas betrayed Jesus under the influence of alcohol.
Peter denied Jesus under the influence of alcohol.
Peter sliced Malchus's ear because he was high. (John 18:10)

Finally, the disciples couldn't keep awake in the garden of Gethsemane because they were tipsy from the wine (Luke 22:39-46)

There was no record of Peter been high and other disciples been tipsy in the Bible references you sighted here. Thou shall not add or take away from my word. Am not against taking alcohol but try and check the Catholic church altar wine, it's 0% Sir.

Jesus said in Mark 7 vs 18. Are ye so not without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him. If you read down to vs 23 you will see things that defile a man. All sin come out of man's heart not what he takes

How can Jesus sit and watch his disciples drink till they got drunk. You are definitely adding to the scripture so that you can justify your drunkenness.
