Because we're not the same people.

We don't share similar values.

Because we are NOT a nation.

BTW, did you see how the corruption trial was conducted? It wasn't done on the media.

We no ready at all.

Well, even if we split into different nations...people will still be split on the corrution angle.

The problem is , Nigerians are dependent too much on the patronage system....and such a system is going to be replicated in each and every new nation we divide into. That's why we don't want to fight corruption...we are too scared to take the risk of living in a just society.

We are not yet ready to work for supper.

Lula's trial was a media thing by the way...it has been on the radar for over a year. Even the current Brazillian govt too has a lot of people facing trial as well....and Dilma Roussef, the immediate past presido too is also on trial. All covered adequately.

When are his counterparts looters and criminals thieves in Nigeria going to be convicted and sentenced to prison? Or is Nigeria a country of perpetual corruption and injustice?

So many people ought to be in jail in naija

Gej
Buhari
Babangida
Obasanjo
Tinubu
Orji uzo kalu
Amodu sheriff

All of them should be rounded up and shot to death
Only then will Nigeria move forward

I wish all our past leaders can be jailed like this.
Little wonder why they keep recycling themselves from governor to senate to minister then back to gubernatorial again.
Anyway, if they keep trying to evade jail, maybe its time to send Amadioha/Sango to them.

That is how a decent country does it. Thieving politicians do not become senators, or something. Instead, they get a prison number and that is it for the next, in this case, 12 years.

In Nigeria, 400 criminal Senators would line-up behind him in a convoy of exotic vehicles and begin to intimidate the Judge, Police will take bribe and allow the witnesses to escape or even poison them, criminal lawyers like Mike Ozekhome will be sweating from both nostrils and trying to save a thief so he can get his own cut, ...... and the citizens will be looking helpless like monkey, doing nothing, according to Fela Anikulapo!

Nigeria, l hail thee. Nigeria go-better, when Jesus krist come back. undecided

It is not as if the former president was accused of a high profile assassination plot or murder o, neither did he commit war crimes or genocide while he was in power. he just looted funds and justice was brought upon him ha!.

When will the laws guiding Jo this country be made effective and carried out without bias on these corrupt politicians.

Well, certainly not the most decent in the world, but that is beyond the point. When did we hear that in Nigeria a high-level politician got some serious prison sentence and actually went to jail? Judging by what Brasil did, they are a lot more decent than your country or mine.

One thing will shock Nigerians. The day a civilized, 21st-century govt decides to prosecute GEJ, OBJ, IBB, & Abubakar for corruption, the sky will not fall. Nothing will happen. You will drink Orijin, eat nkwobi, watch d trials on TV, go to church/mosque, & make love as usual.

its as though the court or judical system in nigeria is way too weak...its high tine we adopt another method...maybe a open public lie detector tesr machine will do the trick for our past and present nigerian leaders handled by a total neutral foreigner.

i bet all the office holders from .great to small will all go to jail.
