This is why it will be difficult for an Igboman to become President of Nigeria...Their houses are always divided against themselves

I learnt that Nnia Nwodo of Ohaneze has been suspended. He had his head in sand and think he can do ostrich things...did he forget that he was (is) an Igbo?

Maybe he totally forgot his roots and oblivious of his culture, maybe due to his romance with outsiders...he forgot that the Igbo right from time are Republican and don't have this concept of almighty one man lording it all or that one man they whole community fears. The Igbo community right from time immemorial is hinged not on monarchy but on republic nature...the power or authority in Igbo land doesn't Cascade from top to bottom as it is in Benin or North or other cultures in Nigeria...Igbo land is a different kettle of fish and that is what baffled the Europeans and that is also why Igbo are one of the last people to be colonised in Nigeria....lots of negotiations were made

Back to Cascade...the power in Igbo land is based on the ground up not the other way round...the king, obi, igwe ,Eze or whatever nomenclature they choose isn't the authority in any Igbo land but just a mere figure head. The power lies in Ummunna. It's the Ummunna that takes the decision and the Ummunna are the kindred men who each family or unit is represented by men and these meeting are taken in square or obi then whatever agreement reached is usually sent to the king ...that's for the villages that do have Kings. Most villages in Igbo land don't ha w kings they are Republican. The Ummunna speak after many deliberations...and it's like house of commons or the kneseet. A lot of deliberations are made and oratorical prowess are fine-tuned. Most of the presentation are laced with idioms and philosophical sayings...then after many deliberations. The ndi ichie or the elders would then take the final decision and by then they umunna must have exuasted all the avenues . That's make Igbo unique

Igbo villages can be governed smoothly without a king...in short every Igbo man is a king into himself that's why the name of a palace is called Obi and the name of head of family compound is also obi in Anambra ..now this is more reason why the figure head or all weilding one man authority is rare in Igbo land ...unless the whole Igbo land come together to acknowledge you ..like ikemba Ojukwu ...even his title is Eze Gburugburu! I think it's only him that has gotten to that level in Igbo land

Back to Nwodo...that is what he forgot. He forgot his cultural milieu or maybe he chose to forget it ...maybe due to his romance with Abuja or maybe due to his elevations....and sublime position. He forgot that in Igbo land ,there is nothing like sublime position.

When the youths were telling him that he would be suspended,he would have reached out! Oh no ,maybe he called them bluffs ,maybe he assumed they are youths but it seems he forgot the republican nature of the Igbo man, not fearing anyone ..which many tribes misconstrue as not having respect. Which is wrong...the Igbo man is respectful but can't be dominated easily ...that's I see as an undoing ,very stubborn but I think it's their chi making

Now ,Nwodo, is suspended, would he stage a comeback, what is the position of ime obi on this case

The name is ohaneze meaning the kings and the public and the public has the higher say because in Igbo land there is a saying that an individual can cook for the community and the community would finish the food. But when the community cooks for the individual..the individual can't finish the food

The big question is : are the Igbo community cooking for Nwodo?
