All these casual PPR announcements nowadays, though! It's PPR people! It's worth shouting, screaming, announcing in a grand way. Abi na only me dey think like that?

Anyway, ielts yesterday was ok. Fingers crossed for the results.

For those still preparing, these were my writing questions.

Task 1 - the old historical building in your area is to be pulled down by the local council due to unavailability of funds for the repair work. Write a letter to the local council stating why you think it should not be pulled down, how to raise funds and what the building can be used for.

Task 2 - some people say modern technology has improved social behaviour. Others think it has made us less sociable. Discuss and give your opinion.

I will suggest you try and call home office as well and hear what they say, since yours isn't a tourist visa. I am assuming you are in the UK right? There are other things to weigh in on, if you withdraw your application, it will mean you no longer have a valid application and may have just a 28 days period to legally remain in the country. If your passport takes longer than 4 weeks to come back, what do you do? All I am saying is thread on the side of caution. Make sure you call home office 1st thing Monday morning, they should be able to make provision, even it means temporarily putting your application on hold (at least this will be done from a legal perspective and you still have legal cover to remain in the county), but not for you to out rightly cancel it. I am making these suggestions assuming you are currently in the UK.

Thanks for your solid advice bro.. Will give them a ring on Monday

Just making emphasis on the bolded. There are provinces, just like the one in which i am, where having a car is a neccessity and not luxury. The Transport system might be delayed by the weather but you will still have to get to work. We are not talking about 5 degrees which might be equivalent to putting your hands in a deep freezer for 7 mins or minus 10 degrees which might be like chilling in a cold room for 5 mins. I'm talking about minus 18, -25 degrees. Frost bite is real. Then you might have kids, you will have to go to the groceries... Lets plan well.

My opinion is that whenever someone asks a question that bring our legs outside, we should report the post.

This will protect both the poster, the future Canny bound people and ourselves.

If you love sharp corner, please send a PM to someone you relate well with on the thread. If the person helps, good luck. If not, maybe you can look for another person.

I attended the Preparing for Canada program this Tuesday, and the truth is that you are going to need every dime of your POF.

Even if you have gotten PPR with other people's funds, ensure you have something reasonable when you are going there. This will assist you in keeping calm and studying the environment. We were told about one General Manager from Airtel, who couldn't get a job immediately despite the vast array of certifications he had. He had to engage in volunteering and other activities that were in line with his profession until he was able to get a better job. What if his POF was borrowed?
He would have been left with no choice than to do menial jobs which will even divert him further from his career path to survive. The POF bought him enough time to obtain the Canadian experience required for his job.
Let us not start the journey on a wrong foot. Please the POF issue is not a joke. Especially if you have a family. No one is trying to discourage anyone from going to Canada but go about it in a legal, well thought-out, considerate, reasonable manner.

I pray it ends in praise for all of us.
Shalom.

I think questions are now been repeated because I have come across these questions when I was preparing for ielts. I pray you get the result that you wish for. All the best ma, we await your testimony in 13days.

Hello
Good morning!

Quick one, I got an ADR and submitted 3 days ago, the current status of my "Review of additional documents" just changed to "Not applicable" without a notification in my mail(Ghost update).
Forgive my anxiety lol but please is that a good sign?

for those intending to apply and haven't yet submitted their application, I would advise you use a separate/new email. One that would be solely for your PR application. Not that there is any adverse effect if you dont but sometimes I really wish I did. In my case I used an email that is tied to a whole lot, it is where I receive my office correspondence, transaction notifications, professional association mails etc. Typically I receive way more mails than sms, even got a ringtone set for mails.

You dont want to know how it feels when you are desperately waiting for any sign of progress on your app, then see the notification on your phone saying you have got mail. You are like yesh! This must be it! The good news from CIC. You open it and see it is one lame mail from a crazy site .
Anyways if you are the type that easily forgets your email address or havent got email synced with alerts on your phone, you may nt bother.
Create a new mailbox or change it with another less busy email Addy. Isn't it doable at this stage?

Preferably you can prioritize the CIC email, or add it to your VIP list on your email.
That's what I did

Good Evening..

Pls I'm new here. I'll like to know if I need to attach my spouse's proof of past work experience when submitting required document. I am the principal applicant

Pls help a sis. Thanks

Did you claim points for it? Or you included in your EE profile before ITA? If the asked questions are Yes, then you will need a reference letter from his employer. Thanks.

Hi guys,

I have an MSc from Unilag. Though I haven't collected the certificate, I have the Letter of Attestation.

Can I use that for WES ECA?

And which is more advisable for accessing Unilag degree - WES or IQAS?
