Oshiomhole didn't trust the FG. Fashola objected based on its constitutionality. The question is what did GEJ and NOI do to address the concerns raised by those two governors? 6 Likes |

wirinet: Knowing all these, why did these same persons, Amaechi, Oshiomole, and Fashola, accuse GEJ of not saving for the "rainy" day? Your comments make no sense in the light of the above statement. 11 Likes |

The governors demanded that what belongs to all state should be shared because of regular withdrawal of the same money that belongs to all state without their notice. Oh i never new Akpabio also asked for the sharing, my question to Ngozi Iweala is why didnt you save the federal government portion. 4 Likes |

These are the same people that will be lambasting the woman for not saving for Nigeria. Amechi led these huligans that wasted our common wealth yet he's claiming a Savior at the right hand of Buhari. 2 Likes 1 Share |

KratosCorp: U and your likes are reason why sensible people have left that forum for kids like u. If 3 people agree to have a savings, and anytime there is a meeting, you discover the head have withdrawn mo ey from the savings for one excuse of the other without your permission, will u "stable kid" keep saving with the person entrusted to keep the funds? Again the guy asked a sane question, FG had the lion share, what happened to it? Why keep blaming governors for the little they shared while u kept the bulk. Why am I even wasting my time on you? 10 Likes 1 Share |

wirinet: You're missing a very obvious point and I will be so kind as to lay it out for you. In 2015, General Muhammadu Buhari came to power, amidst dwindling national reserves and fallen crude oil prices, which worked to make lean our treasury. Those days, one of the rallying cries of the new administration was: "The GEJ government did not save any money; and, we met an empty treasury." Nigerians were egged on to hate and calumny on account of the reality of the leanness of the sovereign purse. PMB is reported to have said: "I met an empty treasury." The prevailing climate of the time which heavily vilified the outgoing administration for all the ills of the land suddenly had another outlet to lampoon the past president with. It is not a contestable fact that the treasury was indeed depleted: that much is known. However, due to the narrative that was bandied by the incoming administration, blame was solely heaped on the outgoing administration, all without consideration of extenuating factors. Now, you might want to ask yourself: 1 - was the treasury depleted? 2 - If yes, were those funds legally disbursed? 3 - Could the fund in the ECA have been saved for leaner times? 4 - Could the Federal Government have insisted on saving the ECA funds without approval from the constituent units of the federation? If you have no answers to these questions, I will lay it out for you. Please, be attentive. The treasury was not depleted. 1 Like |
