Not many of us were born with golden spoons in our mouths.

Many never had a spoon at all, all they had was their hand which was used in working hard to get not just a golden spoon but golden plate to join.
However, the journey from being nothing to something is not an easy ride journey.

Some people had to take up odd jobs just to make it.

A lot of challenges will surely show face but it all tends to become a story.

We would like you to share your success story, even if you are on your way to success.

What odd job did you do on your way to success?

i have always been a proud piimp.

prostitution and human trafficking has been my area of specialization. . . na we dey co-ordinate business flow for asotime and oluku ashawo house for Benin. All thanks to me. Single and shy Uniben students can now enjoy themselves sexually at oluku. I have introduced a very high number of students into visiting ashawo houses . With the experience i have now in olosho business, i look forward to one day having my own world class brothel where men can come and flex their waist with no fear of catching hiv and i have worked with different species of girls around nigeria and also arranged benin girls to have a one night stand with most high class politicians.

Worked as a security in a brothel(ashawo house) . It wasn't always easy settling fights between the girls and customers everyday.

Hmm.
Immediately after sec school, I started my Laundry business; business grew so well, I had to forfeit admission for a year.

Game centers within the uni while in uni.

I wouldn't want to call these odd jobs.

Wow

While still an undergraduate, I once did "helper" work for one night at a building (the structure was being rushed to completion) site.
This was done out of curiosity and to experience the hard life, I was paid #600

Chai, Na die!!! More than half of the #600 was used to buy drugs cos I fell ill the next morning undecided undecided undecided

A church sister put on her timeline that she needs someone to clean up her mama's home, that mama is returning from abroad.

Immediately, like 5mins after she wrote that, I contacted her at once. She told me, "sorry o, that she has got someone else" undecided

I'm sure that it was not true but she would have been thinking, how can I allow an international student do this kind of job. She couldn't imagine that I was damn broke, and as a home-trained African-madam, my cleaning skills are on point wink

It pained me sha sad

I cleared grass from compound to compound in an estate back in the days. This was done manually using cutlass, most times I had blisters and had to soak my hand in hot water after the days job. At night I load dangote flour in a truck for #3 per bag. Before morning I must have loaded the truck with 600 bags. The money I made helped me registered for jamb and transportation to school thereafter. After school, God has blessed my hustle with a very lucrative job. The rest is history.....
