Nigerians are being deported around the world.

SniperSmurf:
Nigerians who enter the host countries illegally are being deported around the world.

I corrected it for you.

Sorry for the people affected but once you go somewhere illegally there is never a guarantee you will be able to stay and deportation can happen at any moment.

"A nation that cannot cater for its people is worse than a disgrace"

When do we get it right in this country.? When do we fix this nation?

We thought this present govt could fix it but they rather spent countless times trading blames and playing to the gallery by saying they are fighting corruption!

Na fighting corruption we go chop?

God please save this country from public assault, rape, disgrace and bloodsucking demons. AME

Sorry bro , I feel your pain , the reason Nigerians cant provide for themselves is a genetic disorder called 'mysterygene', I have done my research , the only way out is to collaborate with those without the genetic disease , leave a black man to himself and give him all he needs he will still messed stuff up , it is weird but that's the true , even in Europe all the place that majority of our people live is run down and messed up ,why , why , this stuff is in our blood ( 90 percent , unfortunately , only this 90 percent get into power or leadership )
we have a few of us that have managed to understand how to manage stuff but we used the grace of God and tap into his wisdom where applicable

Are you sure they installed a brain inside your skull?

Thats still the reason why you will continue to be where you are..

You same set of people that will praise yahoo boys & drug dealers saying its the govt's fault for them doing it , forgetting the same set of people are the ones that will be in govt in future & you want change to happen

Americans didnt wait for govt to give them what they have, they did it for themselves

Go and read the history america, china & see how they became a strong nation...but here we are waiting for magic to happen...we like shortcut to success over here....have you ever thought of how you can empower yourself by starting small not waiting for govt's loan? i guess no

30,000! Let them come back quickly before Germany (a no-nonsense country) do Holocaust to them. I hear people complaining so much about govt in this country, but the state of a nation is a reflection of its own people. "Governments can only come up with rational policies to shape their people's aspirations to the right destination," Barack Obama. There is nothing magical about the developed worlds that we see today. If you go there, you'll see their citizens are just ordinary people like you, even some of them are less intelligent than average Nigerians. But they all have something in common, putting their country first above all. An average Chinese thinks entrepreneurship, building the prototype of a new product, working in the manufacturing or retail of their dream, but an average Nigerian thinks how to become the next hushpuppi ("God pick my call" is a common slogan), working in an oil company, traveling out of the country for greener pastures, the women dream of marrying the richest person on earth. This kind of mindset is a death sentence to any country that aspires to grow. You might argue it depends on individuals, but 200 million individuals make up Nigeria today.

The world is getting tired of snobbish thinking of black, that's why they are sending them back home. Germany, one of the most industrialized nations on earth, could have employed these people in key sectors to grow its GDP, but they don't want this attitude to pervade to their future generation.

So if you think your country is not doing well in terms of development, first check yourself as a citizen if your attitude towards your fellow citizens can develop a nation. There is no magic in development, only takes the right cooperation and coexistence of people.

And your brilliant comment will not get as many likes as it deserves compared to a silly joke because we don't like being told the truth.

You see almost the whole town coming out and standing for hours under the sun just to welcome a politician that came visiting.

Let's keep celebrating criminals my people and watch how things get from worse to worst!

I feel worried about this country. We want a working country but don't want to pay the price.

So essentially this government would allow Germany make the decision of whom should be deported unilaterally and only when the affected person arrives in Nigeria would the person be in a position to claim redress

How can a sane country pander to the wishes of a foreign country in this way by boycotting the deportation process of your consulate and every foreign mission in the deportation process of your nationals. How do you claim to trust the adjudication process of the foreign country not supervised by your embassy abroad.

And you even have the mouth to state that the new process would increase the affected people from 2000 to over 30000. We all knew this would be the case and a lot of these numbers would be people rounded up and hurriedly deported even for minor offenses while holding valid papers. Since you have shown little regard for your nationals do not expect foreign countries to do otherwise

Nonsense
Good talk my brother,Nigeria has a myopic govt. One of the reasons Eritrea and Sudan get their asylum approved is because their govts refused to sign agreement with EU on repartriation of their nationals.once you leave Eritrea their govt will imprison them if they return ,so All EU countries have no choice but grant them 80% of their asylum request. There is no war in Eritrea.Eritreans seek asylum in The EU because of compulsory military service in their country.

Germany has proposed a new process that will facilitate the smooth repatriation of over 30,000 illegal Nigerian migrants back to the country.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said this when he received the Security Adviser to the President of Germany, Dr Jan Hecker, and his team in Abuja.

The new proposal, according to Onyeama, is predicated on perceived failures and slow pace of the current system of repatriation.

This, he said, involved both the participation of Nigerian embassies and consulate and the German immigration office.

“They don’t have enough faith and confidence in the process that we have at the moment for the repatriation process.

”Some of the delays they believed are with the mission and consulate in Germany.

”They want to propose a completely new process of repatriation, known as Return and Re-admission,” he said.

Onyeama said that in the last two years only about 200 Nigerians had returned to the country out of about 30,000.

”Germans were not happy that the system we have in place at the moment is certainly not working to their satisfaction,” he said.

According to him, the new process essentially entailed that once all legal processes had been exhausted, Nigeria should trust them (Germany), to make right decision on who should be repatriated.

He added that once the decision was taken, Germany would bring the affected persons to Nigeria without the involvement of Nigeria’s mission in Germany.

“They will bring them here to Nigeria and say we have gone through a process in Germany; these people are your nationals, they have exhausted all the legal processes, please take them.

”And it will be here on Nigeria territory that any possibility will then exist to say maybe that one is not or this one is not,” he said.

When do we fix what?
Citizens defend thieves that call themselves politicians.
Citizens defend criminals that call themselves "G boys".
Citizens defend rich drug traffickers who come back home to build churches for them (The Ozobulu incidence comes to mind).
Professors and Doctors do not enjoy the respect our people accord to Yahoo boys and drug traffickers.
Yet all of us think a president will come one day who will turn Nigeria into an Eldorado.
The America and France and Germany that we love going to did not get far that way.
God will not do anything, no politician will change anything. We should change our evil ways and we will have good leaders and Nigeria will become a better place.
