It is this midterm election that will show if people prefer their stomachs over other things.
This election will show if activists are truly powerful or just noise makers.

That would assume that the average voter actually knows what causes stomach upset. Midterms always favour the opposition party even if stomach is full

Like you said, he bought poison

all this is noise. we saw them do the same crap with fox and since fox does not give a F they quietly start advertising again.

he should cut down the workforce to only relevant personnel and just continue to do his thing. all this noise will eventually stop

He did not think it through when he bid for twitter. He very soon realised he'd opened his mouth too big and his supposed free speech cost him a whopping $44 Billion! And now he's slowly finding out it would cost him even more, lol.

Now, if that's not lesson enough that speech is not free then he hasn't learnt anything yet. He lost PayPal through his big mouth and might learn how big his mouth is when he loses Tesla and SpaceX too.

Fox is not a social media channel with unlimited ad space. How many 30 second ad slots can you fit in 24 hours on Fox?

He's already caked out healthily. I'm sure he is more of the view that there is more money to be made in hyping up share price than in turning over profit. It's his.modus.operandi with Tesla. He can actually cut Twitter profit in half and still IPO it for $88bln with enough narrative and promises

goal post shifting. businesses that boycott fox eventually went back.

what is unlimited ad space got to do with boycotting?

when everything cools down, the virtue signaling will stop and they will quietly start advertising again.

Many Tech companies are either laying off or putting a freeze on hiring. With the way the economy is trending many businesses are having to re strategize and layoff staff

PDPGuy:

Opendoor 18%
Stripe 14%
Chime 12%
Twitter 50%
Lyft cutting 13% of staff
Dapper Labs cutting 22% of staff
Stripe cutting 14% of staff
Amazon paused hiring for corporate staff
META: pause
Microsoft: Layoffs.
Flipboard: 21%

Did Fox fail to fill its ad slots during the boycott? I'm not even aware of any major brands boycotting them

Social media have infinite slots, anything lost will not be replaced

Does Fox have a network effect? It's on Twitter that Twitter users themselves will tell you not to advertise on this site

I guess you think those who insisted he buy it from them knew nothing of what they were selling, lol. This, however, is not Tesla nor is it new tech.

He'd need to do some serious grovelling to keep user numbers positive as it is. And he's already been on SECs radar so hyping up share price might not be so easy.

Israel the home of the Jews just elected a right wing govt a few days ago. Israel is not angry at Musk as far as I know, And I think Netanyahu wont have a problem with Musk
When the Ukraine war started, Musk was the person who provided them with Internet that allowed many citizens to remain connected

A few far left or far right who overrate themselves wont change anything.

Stock market did not crash because of Trump, World war 3 did not happen and most of them didn't relocate

In a few months they will probably sneak back to twitter, They love the attention too much to let go

Trump didn't even let go of Twitter, All those who threatened to leave to Parler have all come back with their tail between their leg. All those who are screaming they will leave Twitter will also return

the question is, were they rejecting ads?

fox is not limited to primetime cable shows only. they have their website and online on-demand service. they are open for unlimited ads.
and yes, they boycott and they come back.

Samsung, SodaStream, Pfizer (maker of Robitussin) and SanDisk these are companies that jumped on the bandwagon

Currently fox is flogging CNN and MSNBC combined. Jake Tapper primetime show has been discontinued

Fox News Channel coasted to a first-place finish in the October cable news ratings, sweeping the top five most-watched prime time shows for the month and delivering an average prime time audience of 2.292 million viewers. MSNBC finished second in prime with 1.177 million viewers, followed by CNN, which failed to break one million, delivering just 624,000 viewers (down 6% from the same period last year). Fox News was down just 1% year-over-year, and MSNBC saw a decline of 2%.

Among viewers 25-54—the key demographic most valued by advertisers—Fox News led with 295,000 viewers (down 15% from 2021), followed by CNN (134,000 viewers, down just 3%) and MSNBC (114,000 viewers, with the largest decline among the cable news networks: 20%.)

Tesla has almost halved in 6 months already, and smart money hates losses. Tesla is valued way more than Ford and GM combined despite selling a fraction of cars they sell, so it likely has more bottom beneath it.

Musk is smart enough not to encourage hate speech. All the outrage about him encouraging hate speech is simply an overreach to tag a dog with a bad name so you can hang it

Things like saying "you want to go death con 3 on Jews" is pure hate speech from a sick mind and would be condemned by anyone and everyone. If Kanye post that on Twitter he should get suspended not some silly things like saying there are 2 genders or men cannot get pregnant

It doesn't matter if Twitter true value is $20bln. He can IPO at $100bln and by the time it fall back to $20bln, by then Elon has exited. Bros, whales escape at the point.of utmost liquidity

That's how he escaped a chunk of his Tesla position at all.time high by fabricating an argument about tax with Elizabeth Warren. I even see the Twitter buy as an excuse to escape an.overvalued Tesla. That gave him a reason to dump $20bln in Tesla with no questions asked and without Tesla suffering a selloff

those of us who followed his rant know the context of his speech and there is nothing like death con 3. he meant DEFCON 3. he was talking about Jews in the entertainment world.

you know how they make meaning to trump saying there are fine people on both sides. they cut the context out and make their narrative
