"In A Referendum, Akwai Ibom Will Join Igbos In Biafra"-Philip Effiongs Son by gidgiddy: 11:07am On Jun 01, 2018
Charles Effiong is the the son of late General Philip Effiong, deputy President of the defunct Republic of Biafra and it's last President. In a chat with journalists in Enugu, Charles Effiong stated that what caused the first Biafra isn't exactly what is causing the present agitation for it but they are all rooted in marginalisation and oppression.

He went on to tell the Journalist that the Ibibios share the same feeling of marginalisation as Igbos and that when his father, General Philip Effiong, died, Igbos played a prominent part in the burial.

When asked if Akwai Ibom would vote to join Igbos in Biafra if there was a referendum, Charles Effiong stated that there are already groups in Akwai Ibom agitating for Biafra and it is on the increase. He however hastend to add that while not everyone in Akwai Ibom supports Biafra, the reason why majority would vote to join Igbos in Biafra is because of that shared feeling of marginalisation and oppression in Nigeria.

Why would they fight since there would be 100% recourse control ?. if you had read Ipob proposed system of govt , you will understand.
The Genesis of this agitation is imbalances and lack of recourse control.
Remember that the civil war could have been avoided if Gowon had agree on Aburi agreement which we call " restructuring". or " recourse control" today.
But Gowon refused hence the the civil war. Yet after the civil war, the agitation still persist.
But if they insist that they want referendum despite the above mentioned , why won't they have it since human right is the foundation of Ipob ?

Their divide and rule tactics ain't efficacious anymore.

Good riddance.

A Fulani will call a Nupe and a Tiv northerner so they can stand in solidarity for their interest.

A man from Ijebu and Egbaland has been told to address himself as Yoruba even though historians know better.

But southwestern press said that the Chukwudi from Delta and Ikwerre has no semblance with the Chukwudi from Enugu. My pain is that some people has swallowed this pill and have since refused to heal.

Wake up old Eastern Region!

Wake up Ndigbo!
