You should first appreciate how long they have stayed back home and lived through the false African dream right from when they were kids. They have lived through wars, genocides, coups, famine, drought , extreme poverty, incurable illnesses, depreciating standard of living, bad leadership, all on one life time and the situation doesn't seem to get better.
Don't blame them for wanting to have a taste of a better life before they go to join their ancestors. Of what benefit would it be if you spent your lifetime in Africa and still end up in hell?
Thanks for this response. grin

They have a better society and help could still come from somewhere else. But Africa is loosing alot with the departure of Africans in these crazy numbers. It's even way less compared to the numbers that applied for visa legally and those that died on the road through other means

I am very sad over the comments I read on this thread.
Since 17th century towards the end of the 19th century, many Africans were being forcibly packed, their mouths padlocked and shipped to Europe and America to work as slaves in the American plantations. Today, In the 21st century which is about 150 years after, their great grand children still struggling to go to the same Europe to voluntarily continue the slavery, but in modern form, of their forefathers.
It is sad.

Re: 17 Million People Left Africa In 2017 – UN Report by busco59: 5:24pm On Jun 01, 2018
Since the report was from UN, I believe the stat only included those who migrated legally, and judging from what we see around us majority of those seeking solace off the shores of Nigeria and Africa at large egresses through the back door. If only UN can sum up the number of legal and illegal immigrants, we go see say them pass 70 million. Because to every single visa granted to a Nigerian (legal immigrants), at least 1 illegal immigrants would be received in that country, because the rate at which guys take the leave dis our country is directly proportional to the rate at which bet9ja ticket the cut daily. I pray say me and my guys go leave soon, but legally, Amen.
