Why is it that a good number of Nigerian ladies feel entitled to ask for transport fare from a guy, but never ask for such from a fellow woman?

To the lady who feel they are entitled to transport fare; how much did your fathers give to your mothers when they were dating as transport fare? Don't get offended, we just want to use that as a yardstick.

This is why we only date girls with cars who are well off.

Self-demeaning, dimwitted comments like yours are why some members of my gender think all women are disposable pleasure-objects up for sale at a bargain.

Ill-thought-out comments like yours reenforce the widely-held belief amongst the menfolk that "transport money" (as you Nigerian girls call it) is the euphemistic term for "sex pay" which would in turn mean you are prostitutés. Prostitute: that's what anyone who expects to get paid for sex in some way ( even though not outrightly called so)is called, right?

The moment you are about to leave a guy's place or a hangout with him, look with askance expecting to be given money in exchange for the time you spent with him in a sexual context, you are a PROSTITUTÉ.

Turn it around, add flowery words as much as you can, try to morally rationalize it...still, you are a prostitute - you got paid for sex. smiley

You even had to explain reasons for calling her a prostitute. They don't worth the stress, just tell'em what they are.

Are you minding them?

I was shocked when a female friend on Facebook posted that some Nigerian girls now depend on their boyfriends for stuff like bathing soap, hair and rent. I was so shocked beyond words shocked

I mean, how would you expect a man to treat you with respect when you literally depend on him for things ghat your parents should provide for you? It’s not possible.

It’s one of the reasons why I say feminism in Nigeria can never take off. A man who pays a so-called bride price (which in some places runs close to half a million Naira), and has to pay you “transport fare” every time you want to visit him, will always regard you as inferior to him.

I never make that mistake of visiting without having my transport. I will rather not go visiting if I don't have transport to come back. If he gives me fine, if he doesn't give me fine. I will not ask.

Beside it's not a must that because I paid u a visit, you re entitled to give me transport.

Seriously guys... I think demanding for tfare from a guy each time she visits it demeaning, unhealthy, petty and i can classify further.

I always tell my Guys and ladies, what a lady exhibit wen you are dating her is likely wat she's gonna exhibit when u guys get married... So if you cnt tolerate it now, don't harbor it till then.

I actually ended a brief relationship on this exact issue few weeks ago.

I was involved in an accident on official assignment, infact I'm lucky to be alive with no fracture, or broken bones.
So I was hospitalized and had to quit work for a week while I rest at home.
She normally comes visiting as per gf and I always pay her transport, I the course of the accident, rescuers stole my phone so I couldbt reach her for a week. After I brought a new phone, got my contacts back I called her. She came to see me, in our course of discussion, she queried my new phone and said hers is bad and she needs an iPhone. I kept mute watching.

When she's was abt leaving, she started saying she's ready I should give her transport fare. I bluntly told her it's wrong and a poor mentality, even In my sick state she's still been parasitic. She got angry and left not wanting me to escort her..... Few hours later, I just called her and ended the whole shit. Can't imagine such insensitivity.

No, not all of them. As much as I'd like to castigate the contemporary Nigerian female with the most scathing remarks, not all are like Colourich- I've had dealings with such different girls for years.

They are getting even rarer, they are getting even more influenced by girls like the girl I quoted in my preceding post, they are getting influenced to become that way by the downturn of the economy...

But several girls still do not like the idea of them being bought - being paid for their time spent with you in a sexual way- as long as they can share something special with you.

Sadly, everyday more 'soldiers of men's-pockets-leeching' like Colourich are being 'recruited' into the 'sex-for-pay army'; sadly.

You have a point. Maybe not all.

Need we blame them? No. Why? Surely because they grew up in a poor family with bad parents who couldn't teach them what it takes to be hardworking and self-dependent, parents who were unable to coach and guide their natural hunger for money and materialistic things.

Her type can sure give men the reason to classify ladies as one. Yeah they can.

Fucck off my mention.
"Fucck"; that's exactly what you tell him and them when you finish negotiating your pay, undréss and lay on the couch when you go visiting in their apartments, right?

In the throes of passion with lips interlocked, you splay your hands across his chest, disentangle yourself from his lips then push him back.
"Wait. James, wait. I need to ask you something." He sucks air in 'cause he can barely think, erection as hard as steel, he can barely hold on. You take that as the sign to go on.

"James, I need to make my hair. My rent is expiring and there's a wedding coming up and I don't have money for the designated cloth and style for the event..."

He can barely say decipherable words so he just says," Not now. I'd give you something this weekend."

Greedy and selfish and seeking immediate gratification for what's about to happen, you retort, " But I need 'transport money' when I am going home later on."

He nods. Satisfied with the immediate result of your leeching skills, you reply, "Alright, James, fucck." And you both have sex.

We all know the "transport money" isn't exactly the amount it takes to visit his place and back, it's a 'package' to pay for the time you spent with him, even though he could have given it willingly at his own time but you coerced him to pay you for sex.

Yeah, Colourich, "Fucck off" - that's your catchphrase. smiley
