Enid Blyton was lit too
Sadly, it's the age. And it manifests in how most of them write and converse. Even their conversational skills are terrible. Phones are not doing this generation a lot of good. yeah Enid Blyton was also one of my favorite writers too. When I look at this generation I feel pity for them and am really determined to see that my children loves books. My five year old has started reading and right now she has about 10 novels in simple words she had just finished one and almost through with the second, 3 Likes 1 Share |

You were an ardent JHC reader to depict these 2fact about " This way for a Shroud" and " Mallory".
Mallory was so boringly different that I was almost certain he didn't write it. The write badly twisted the story he ended up confusing himself ( not me) I once read an article that suggested that there were 2 other writers that wrote under the JHC label. I bought the narrative to some extent. Wow, that's informative, never knew they got multiple authors for the series. Anyways, it was fun back then. |

Very intriguing. Love me some James Hardely Chase. One of my Aunties had a lot of novels. I always bypass James's books because of d cover pages. She encouraged me to try one that the content is different. After the first book I was already hooked. Always made me feel I was a detective back then. 1 Like |

Not much of a novel person. I will rather take 2hours to watch the movie version than spend days reading the novel. I get bored on the way |

An Ear To The Ground, was my first Yea, I've read that too. Yeap. I was like 12 when I read first jhc novel, infact I saw it admist some big books, and the front cover was torn off, I remember vividly I was bored then and I wanted a good novel when I first saw it I was like which kind nonsense book be this but when I started reading it do you know I didn't stand up from where I seated until I finished it? it was like I was watching a thriller packed action movie in my head. and afterwards I searched for more but didn't find any, I saved money to get the rest at a bookshop, I bought like 20 then, the remaining 70 I downloaded them online years later, but unfortunately lost them when my PC was stolen. |
