Some common excuses:
- he/she cannot knack well
- he/she does not want to knack
- he/she is too busy
- I don't like he/she anymore
- I never liked he/she
- I have a crush on the person I want to cheat with
- I don't care

I don't think there's any reasonable reason. If you want to cheat, break up first then have your guiltless sex. Never forget that breaking up does not have to be an agreement. Only one person is needed to end a relationship.
