i know yesterday was Sunday.. Am not a regular church goer, but I and my peeps were arguing this morning about freewill in heaven and I told them I don't think THEM AS CHRISTIANS if they eventually get to heaven will still have free will.


Let us be open minded..... Like I said am a Christian but I guess thinking outside the box ain't a sin

If there will be freewill in heaven then heaven won't be any different from a fallen earth.

Take an instance from how the whole story started.

God created a perfect world then due to man's freewill he made the wrong choice and because of this, God damns everything and its no longer a perfect world.

Take a hint from the story of Lucifer who conspired against God in heaven.

This can only mean that Lucifer was acting on freewill therefore suggests freewill in heaven.


If at the end of the day humans have freewill in heaven, one of the entails of freewill is that there is no specific knowledge on what choice must be, it can lean either way.

So what is to say that humans won't make wrong choices in heaven while exercising their freewill which will eventually cause the damnation of heavenly purity just like earth?

And the whole show repeats itself.

What's to say that there won't be another revolt or coup to usurp God leading to another heavenly civil war?..

But if there is no freewill in heaven, how can it really be bliss?

Look at it this way; if there is such a thing as a perfect world and a perfect God with the ability to create a perfect world and wants you to be in such a world, you would have been there already. The whole doctrine of uncalled test to earn that perfect world is both unnecessary and nonsensical

That makes heaven undesirable. And the whole idea of heaven is in its desirability.

If its not desirable, it defeats the point of heaven and actually suggests heaven to be the opposite of what people may think

But you know if there's hell somewhere truly like they painted it, souls there still have freewill Kos they don't wana be there... They don't want what they are given... They want something else... Hence freewill still exist....

According to the religion, there is no freewill, as if there was, then it means people could sin, and why would God send people to heaven when it's a conditional stay till the day they sin? So he has to take away free will for the redemption to be worthwhile.

Yes there is.

Where God is there is always liberty (Freedom and freewill)

However, God only wants to live with those whose free will is to do that which is right and good and lawful.

That is the greatness of God! It is not a problem for Him when any free person spoils His good world. He knows how to deal with them all, which is what He is even showing those who shall qualify to live freely with and around Him in the new heaven and earth.

Thus, the qualified inhabitants should have learnt the lesson and know not to make this mistake, therefore, no problem and yet the inhabitants with God are still exercising their power of freewill.

Just want to add my 2 cents to the poster above--who is correct in what he said.

It's quite simple when one really thinks about it.
The people that truly want to be in the Kingdom-will be in the Kingdom.
The people who didn't truly want to be there will NOT be there...for it would be torture for them.
Everyone will have already exercised their "free-will" in deciding to have surrendered to Christ or NOT.
Those people here on earth preparing for eternity are trying to live their daily lives as if they 100 percent without a doubt want to be reunited with the Father one day. Their minds are fixed on Heaven and heavenly things.
Exercising free-will won't be an issue, nor point of contention nor a burden because living eternally with The Almighty Creator will be as natural as the air one breathes. I'm sure folks won't be robots. Just as the angels who were NOT deceived by lucifer, serve the Lord gladly and willingly, so will those whose names are written in the book of life, gladly enjoy worshiping the Father and enjoying eternal life. Relationship with Him restored...
Those who live eternally will never have to be "tested" in the sense of exercising their "free-will" as Adam & Eve did by eating the forbidden fruit and causing sin to bloom.

Sin will never, ever, ever rise again...praise God.
It is forever defeated through Christ' life--showing sinners the correct way of life, death-- to carry the sins of the world--and resurrection--victory over sin so that it would never occur again--the purpose for which Christ came--
Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

So the option of "free-will" (in the sense that I talked about) won't be necessary in an unpolluted, sin-less, world.
Revelation 22:1-5 (KJV) also gives more insight.
Reading the entire book of Revelation would be helpful, but in terms of the end-times,Revelation Chapters 13-22 would be the chapters to prayerfully study.

Religion is not complex!!!! It’s only “complex” when you attempt to make nonsense make sense and it turns into a Gordian knot. Once you get the blade of reason and shirk the cloak of gullibility, you can cut the Gordian knot to pieces.

If you cut the knot to pieces does it not mean that you hated the knot in the first place and never wanted it?

If you did not want the knot then why did you go to it to cut it?

When someone comes to cut your knots are you not going to attack that person for trespassing and being a devil?

Since you do not like nor understand the knot game then you should have stayed off and continued minding your business. That is what good people do.
