The most important shorthand method to recognise a stroke patient are - :

FAST

Face - Dropped to one side, not able to smile or eye + mouth drooped

Arms - inability to lift both arms, sustaining such lift due to weakness or numbness

Speech - Slurred spoech + unable to talk

Time - Call an ambulance(if easily accessible) or rush patient to nearest hospital. Remember with a stroke patient, you cannot necessarily squeeze them into a tiny car/space......

Remember FAST if you suspect stroke......
