James 2 14:18

“14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds."


Faith will give you access to Gods grace. Grace will produce good works in your life.

None is without the other. A true believer will bear fruit thru the effect of God's grace in his life. Not by his own power. You cannot seperate works from grace. It will confuse most people who are not spiritually matured enough.

God does reward good deeds. Cornelius was full of works and this led to his salvation.

Ephesians 2 10:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

A good Christian will not based his relationship with God on his works because he truly knows that he has received grace from God to get what he could never have gotten otherwise. Salvation.

It is very true that we've been saved by grace alone. However, the new man must produce fruit and glorify God by our works.

John 15:1-2
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Amen!! I thank God for this...

I also attend a grace+works church... Just that since i know the truth i reject most of their mixed messages .. It's a pity, but there's no church in Nigeria that teaches pure grace... Am yet to see one. Most of my feeding on the word of God is through online and YouTube videos of preachers of the grace Gospel... Mostly white preachers though... The Lord is good..

There are lot of grace churches around, find one and stay committed there, online learning is not enough.
