well I said you cannot you say the gov can, well why don't you show me where is is stated the FG could force a private company to employ people. The law only stipulate for how long you are allowed to have a person under temp, but once this time expires the company renews it for said time again. Besides temping is good to some people, But still, Show me where it states in law that states the FG can force coys to employ people.

Thank God U have idea about the law stipulating how long U can keep a person or job under contract. So by implication if that period elapses the company can be compelled to staff.
If government is serious they will compel companies to staff after the stated period of casualising a job. Its just that the government is not serious.

On the other hand can U see what is happening to Mobil, is that not a classic example of government forcing companies to employ.

No they cannot ;once the period elapse, you are made to sign a new contract or leave. This is how it works. You think these companies are silly?. The law is there to protect the Employer and Employee.\Its even same in the west.

We all know that the economy is not as it was for some.years now because of over population.

Unemployement has been a major issue/problem we have been facing in this country but not as catastrophic as this..

SMH to all those typing about lazy youth not going into farming without adequate technology. if you know the work ethics to cultivate just vegetable on a 30ft plot you won't come here to type trash.

Not to talk of the annoying pricing of these produce after harvesting. mtheeewww

just in the 90s here,
prof in China once dropped their ties and enter farm.
They were able to generate wealth through their population,

If we can feed ourselves as a nation and reduced importation,
With our population in African, we will be self sufficient, and the gain can be use to advanced technology.
Guy, save your data and stop trying to defend or re-enforce failure. We know better now. Hunger don open people eye. Sorrow, tears and blood govt.

Do you follow the news at all?
Your buhari is already thinking of withdrawing from the presidential race... And you are here explaining to us how he will defeat Atiku and Saraki.

I hear you...

But we are talking about 2 different things.

The topic at hand is 8 million pple have lost their jobs-- largely white collar jobs..

To answer your question rather quickly...

FDI is quite important, as one could argue depending on the economic life cycle at the time,it may be more important than infrastructural development.

Personally they should go hand in hand if the opportunity presents itself.

The FDI though primarily in the stock market buoyed up the economy: increased spending power in addition to increased borrowing due to strong confidence in performance. This supported both micro and macro economies on the short to mid-term range.
In manufacturing and the service industry, it helped run and sustain the economy.

The infrastructural investment you have identified but is not publicly known, will support on the longterm... But what happens in between??

The people suffer, no food, no housing, no clothing, no good healthcare, mortality increases, fertility drops...

According to your theories, your infrastructures are in place, the populace is either malnourished, ill or not in a position to buy.. Then infrastructure wilts as there's nobody to use or maintain or refurbish!!

Life is a cycle/ continuum.. Disuse atrophy soon sets in, leading to maladies or malaises.

Overall, Balance is a perspective this administration lacks...obvious in a lot of their policies.!!

Every government tries to build on the predecessor's achievements. Selfish ones will try to rename or rehash previous achievements as theirs but the people aren't suffering!!

Decimating the economy handed over to him was a great error of judgment on Buhari's part!!

.

Now that NBS has denied the lie, will you redo your analysis?
