Senate Delay Of Inec Election Budget: A Possible Call For Military Invasion by olawalepopoola: 12:16pm On Aug 06, 2018
It is an unfortunate situation in our dear nation. We all know what it took as a nation to get freedom from the men in uniform. For more than 50 years Nigerians were under the oppression of the military
With recent happenings in our country in the political arena, I am sensing a possible come back of the military.
The umpire of elections in Nigeria, the Independent National electoral committee claimed that lack of funds might cause a possible setback for the 2019 general elections which Nigerians are desperately clamouring for.
However with a sudden recess announced and embarked upon by the hollow chambers of the Nigeria Senate, this claim by INEC may become a reality as it has timetable for the elections.
Without the 2019 elections in Nigeria, the military may stage a come back which spell dooms for the nation and may make the labours of the hero of democracy futile.
Regardless of party affiliations, all Nigerians should appeal to the Senate to come back from recess to review INEC budget for the 2019 elections. The failure might cause a lot of crises.
To the Nigerian masses, we should desperately appeal to the Bukola Saraki led Senate because when the chips are down, they will fly overseas to meet their children and wives and leave us to face the brunt of the the crisis they are brewing.
For those who experienced dictatorship era in Nigeria, let us cry out to appeal to them. This is not a matter of APC, PDP, APGA, AD, LP, ADC, CUPP, etc, it is a matter of lives.

It is not a matter of whether Saraki is in PDP or APC, it is a matter of the consequences of the drama they are staging

Where did this political neophyte crawl out from? The Federal Government knows the time table of the National Assembly in every legislative year so why is the useless and utterly incompetent Executive bringing the INEC Supplementary budget now when they had prior knowledge of when the National Assembly will go on break since January? I'm 100% certain you don't know National Assembly has a time table.

By the way, why the Senate? Is it because of Saraki? Is the House of Reps not also going to debate on the same thing? I don't understand you guys at all

Forget that thing. We need to rewrite our constitution, too many flaws in the constitution. The present crop of legislators can't work on our constitution to address numerous issues on ground. If military takes over, I don't care. They are the only one that can rewrite this constitution.

Anytime Ekweremadu is called to answer to questionable wealth, the issue of coup will be used to threaten the nation. The coincidence is getting too much.

If op is honest he will start by wondering why this money was not budgeted for in the 2018 Budget?

Election 2019 is not supposed to be a surprise to anyone

Why are we funding the election by virement?

It is poor planning and management by the federal government

The way Buhari breaks all rules of democracy, if Military takes over Nigerians will celebrate

Court orders are not respected

Votes counts for nothing

After 2015 elections instead of moving forward we have gone backward

Results are changed at collation centres while vote buying is the order of the day.

Buhari has been behaving like a dictator since the inception of this his junta, he even had cockroaches begging for suspension of the constitution on his behalf so he can "work better". He has been withdrawn money from our national purse without any checks and balances, so since he knows the way to the kitchen, he should dish his food by himself cool

Election or impeachment should be the only means by which Buhari can be removed. Let the Parliament recommend and choose one option. Will that satisfy your "anything"?
