CU, abuad, babcock are viable options for parents who don't want to travel their kids out.

Be patient and read the post again. There are places the governor said same thing...and he paid the scholarship sum up front.

As much as i am impressed with the governor's action i don't think this kid deserves to be called an orphan tho.. He has a mother who works at a bank probably top admin & the dad died a major in the army... All the same i think the kid is bright & intelligent & deserves all the prize accorded to him but i do believe the real orphans who are either in one Idp camp or the other don't even have access to books talk more of reading or even registering for any exams.. Our leaders should set their priorities right. The plight of the suffering masses should be their topmost concern & not all these unusual display of government magic with their only objective of ensuring the survival of a certain class of individuals while neglecting the larger populace to die off or keep them forever poor with one or two useless sham empowerment scheme.

Anyway to score the highest for JAMB no be beans.. Kudos the young genius. He deserves recognition & some support.. I just wish our government would be less clueless as to the pressing needs of society.

Covenant University again? I used to have the impression that these private Universities are for rich folks who couldn't make the cut off for schools like Unilag or OAU. I never knew brainy folks like this could choose them as First Choice.

these schools are serious about education professionally, how many times does an average naija student in public Govt university deliver presentations, once maybe.

These things matter a lot. It seems the govts and it's uni are not interested in improving education.

Yes oh. Please help educate some of these folks from the other part of the country jare. When they hear of northern Nigeria, they always think everyone there is an almajiri or a Muslim. But they never seems to understand that christians are also in the North. We also have significant amount of indigenous Christians in Zamfara state ( Sharia state).
