This week's Task is Film Noir

This week, the All Stars will display their acting skills in silhouette style, reminiscent of the 1940's.

The Housemates are set to showcase their skills in a Film Noir movie production or play called "Falcon's Last Flight," which is all about murder, passion and revenge.

Script

The Housemates will be casting, deciding which Housemate will play each character and will direct and ultimately perform and see the script through, entirely in silhouette.

Biggie called new Head of House Meryl to the Diary Room to give her the Task Brief. When Meryl read it out, Munya and Uti were the most excited.

The Film is set to be acted out entirely in silhouette or behind a screen with lighting so that only the outlines of the action are visible to the audience. The mood of the scenes is set to be created by a Foley Operator who will create all the sound effects in the script.

Apart from the film actors, there will also be a narrator who will fill in the details of lines spoken by the actors. Housemates will need to study the script carefully in order to coordinate all the aspects into a professionally presented play worthy of the great stages on Broadway and in the West end of London.

As per the norm, the Housemates are set to present the full, streamlined play on Thursday night.

Today is Mozambican Victory day and Biggie treated the housemates to drinks, Jen actually forgot so during her diary session Biggie reminded her and asked her to open a cooler nearby while still in the diary room, she screamed when she saw the drinks in it, she carried it outside and gathered all her housemates to cheer with her. But i was surprised sha when she told her fellow housemates ''Independence day'' and they all screamed ''happy independence day!!!!! I know there is a difference between Independence day/Victory day, even Biggie clearly told her ''VICTORY DAY'' She is really not a resident of Mozambique as she lives in South Africa, Mozambique independence day is in June while today 7th September is a national holiday in Mozambique to commemorate the signing of the agreement that ended the Mozambican War of Independence. The agreement was signed between Portugal and Mozambique in 1974, with independence granted in 25th June 1975.   undecided undecided undecided  na she sabi!!!!

During Paloma’s diary session Biggie gave her a secret task, I was really anxious because I thought it was going to be very interesting but it was just dry. Here is the secret task:
She has to make all her housemates say the word ‘I am very famous in my country’’ before 48hours to get her, the usual secret gift.  lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

I am beginning to get irritated with Kaone's diary session. Since he began mingling with Munya its complain, complain, complain about Uti in the diary room!!!!! i actually put my TV on MUTE when he enters the diary room with that his useless signature greeting and when he is about to leave the diary room with his signature goodbyes to his fans!!!! so freaking irritating angry angry angry angry angry angry
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by ScreenDiva: 2:22pm On Sep 07, 2010
I am really surprised that Paloma asked Munya to get Zambia's Independence Day date from Biggie!!!! shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked is she daft or what Independence day!!!!, a grown up like Paloma does not know, no wonder Sheila complained to the barnmates that Paloma was asking her ''52x1'' during the architecture task which she had to do all the measuring herself and that Paloma finds it hard to translate plain English!!!!! eishhhhh!!!! Last week Biggie asked her to ''soften'' her boxing gloves she misunderstood and handed the gloves to Kaone as part of ''softening'' the gloves which earned her a warning from Biggie!!! That is the prize you pay for dropping out of the University!!!! tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

Munya has just booked a session with Biggie, he claims he knows Uti's Secret!!!!!! make we dey see,  cool cool cool

K1 is obsessed with uti even on d days uti doesn't have his time, is d guy in luv with uti or what?? Our boy is making them gaga in d house, dem go fear fear
Was most disapointed jen doesn't know her countrys independence or victory days celebration, she was asked how long ago they gained independence and she couldn't say either even mama paloma. For goodness sakes, even primary school kids r taught these basic info about their countries, na real wa sha
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by shalom1234: 2:51pm On Sep 07, 2010
I think K1 just came to the realisation that Uti is a gud person and doesn't mean all the mean things he says to him and he acknowledged that in his session.

Meryl: told Biggie that she's good and is excited about the task, its something they've all never done before but they're enjoying it, they're are trying to understand the script; her walking punishment is going well and she's about to finish it; She's enjoying being HoH, people say that she's scary but they're listening to her; that the nominations last night were quite expected though she thought people would add one or two more people to also be up for eviction but she hopes Mwisho survives on Sunday coz he's one of the most entertaining people in the house; that she would consider saving him but she was also up and since she's playing a game, she wouldn't jeopardise that; she just hopes Mwisho survives on Sunday otherwise she's well and still herself.

Mwisho:- said that the day is going fine; the task is interesting, everyone is reading the script and getting to know their character for the task; he thinks it'll be a fun task; they seem to understand it so far so he's not sure if they're doing anything wrong; the walking punishment is good, the pedometer is reading 11.3Kms; on the nominations he said the outcome was expected, its his first time to be up for eviction, he won't like it if he's evicted on Sunday, he hopes to survive coz he likes it in the house but its up to Africa to decide.

Jen:- said that they got a new task and its is going ok so far, they're busy memorising their scripts, its a simple script so they're understanding it; she said the nominations were quite expected so they're waiting to see what happens on Sunday; On her & Paloma she said everything is fine between them; Its Victory Day today in Mozambique so Biggie wished her a happy Victory Day and offered her a celebration gift(beers) to share with other housemates; Jen wished all Mozambicans happy a happy independence day.

Paloma:- said she's doing ok, just a little bit tired, they woke up to the acting task this morning, they're are understanding the movie script and are trying to memorise it; she just discovered that her part in the movie is short coz she'll die in the movie; she feels its either her or Kaone who were swapped but she'll stay positive and focused, if its her who was swapped by Meryl, she hopes she survives on Sunday; she thinks Kaone's punishment is hard compared to Meryl & Mwisho's coz he has to blend everything he eats, she'd cry if Biggie gave her that punishment but she thinks Kaone is ok with it; Happy independence day to Mozambique;

Kaone:- started off with his signature shout-outs to his fans and wishing a happy independence day to all Mozambicans ; that after the nominations he feels like he's in the "pot", he may have been swapped but he's ok though he thinks they need medical check-up coz there seems to be something in the house that's causing them to have skin irritations; he added that they're all enthusiastic about the task and he's happy with his role; he appealed to Africa to vote for him to stay in the house if he's up for eviction this week; On Uti, he said he's come to understand him as a joker and a brother, he gives him a lot of credit for helping him(Kaone) discover the person in him and so he gives him so much respect.

Nice write up there shalom 123.
Shame on jen and paloma especially that paloma whats with all the "i'm a proud African woman" nonesense when she doesn't even know her own independence day. Silly buncha airheads.
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by ScreenDiva: 3:59pm On Sep 07, 2010
@shalom1234

You forget to mention the part where kaone told Biggie that Uti was hitting him hard (only him for that matter) when he and Meryl were the ones going for 75% during their wager negotiation, that Uti took it far too personal it was like he had something against him. But trust the guy na after saying all that he would cover up with stuffs like ''You know me, i do not have a problem with Uti, I love him, he is my brother bla, bla, bla!!!! brother indeed!!!!!! after calling Uti a ''Mad dog'' last week that resulted to his ''Secret task''

Some of Munya's discussion with Biggie in his Diary Session:

Biggie: Good afternoon Munya.
Munya: Good afternoon Biggie

Munya: Hey Biggie, i hear you are not feeling fine?? how are you doing?
Biggie: After a few seconds Biggie responds:, Munya, Biggie does not answer to personal question, you should know better than that!!!!! tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

Biggie: How is your day going and how do you feel about the task
Munya: Its good, i like it, the script, its very good, where did you get that from Biggie??
Biggie: After a very long silence Biggie responds, Do you have anything else to say Munya? How do you feel about yesterday's nomination
Munya: I am okay with it, i am also pretty confident that Meryl would not put me up against Mwisho going by my ''TRACK RECORD
'' she would not do anything foolish, hey but you never can tell, ,

Hhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Track record my foot!!!!!!! angry angry angry angry angry

All of a sudden, Sheila is disgusting, irritating and annoying me. It's as if its my heart she has broken. I really love her friendship/relationship/bondness with Uti but it seems that is of no value to her. I dont understand how you would declare your feelings for someone and in the next minute making out with the someone's good friend and feel good about. I personally feel she and Hannington does not respect Uti, Uti's faithful fans and most people that were rooting for Shuti. I feel so bad cos i really like her but i feel more disappointed with her actions. It makes me want to regret that i did alot voting her when she was up for eviction. I'd rather want Tatiana or Code back in the house than she and Hannington. And maybe am just paranoid. As for Kaone, that guy is a complete hypocrite, the same guy that has been dissing Uti almost everyday in his diary session calling him all sort of names and ridiculing him is now the guy who all of a sudden cares about Uti and singing praise of him just because he(K1) strongly feels he's up for eviction and now trying to suck up to Nigeria like he has always done. I dont buy any of his crap.

Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by beeswax: 5:15pm On Sep 07, 2010
K1 was so FAKE in his dairy session today its not even funny, listening to him u would have thought uti was his new bff. I don't understand how anybody espeacially a naija person could not have seen through his sucking up routine
If uti is such a brother y did he nominate him now and not mwisho? Abeg abeg abeg
As for sheila, she leaves me speechless everyday and unfortunately not in a good way. I still believe she has genuine feelings for uti but doesn't think anything will come out of it and then coupled with ecessive drinking her judgements and actions become poorer by d day, wat a shame though

i tink say na only me dey reason like dis,

the most painful tin is that uti cried for dis girl and EVERY BODY IN AFRICA SAW HIS WELL PUBLICIZED EMOTION ON THAT DAY,

i loved sheila!!! yea everybody here was rooting for shutti
and all she cud do was give in to a professional douchebag!!! with the IQ of a maiguard!!!

well some would say it aint her fault locked up in a small space with few people to relate to but dis douchebag

BUT SHE IS TO KNOW THE REPERCUSSIONS

last night when sheila asked lerato to escort her to the loo

lerato reminded sheila in very clear terms that uti is bound to hear when he leaves the show
all she could say was that she would tink of somethin!! (if u ask me, i would say it was half a bottle of liquor that was talking).
lerato responded by saying, "after making out with his buddy"

as for hanny, i wont even bother,

weeks ago , i got to know that over the 2 years after their first show, uti was constantly in contact, almost setting up jobs for sheila and some of his dudes from that year (including lucile tongue),
thats the value of someone who wud go the distance, not some douche-bag that looks at her as his next target , after the show, its over!!!

well,, babes no dey hear till e happen

but the ratings would skyrocket if three of 'em were to be together again on the show

its been a little while since i have been here and WOW! shocked

glad to see our boy is still in the house and i must say he is doing very well without sheila
sheila on the other hand seems to be losing the plot!!! one minute she is going down on meryl, next shes kissing hannington then kissing tati and from what i saw last night putting her fingers in tati's  lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed what in the world is going on with that gal? hope she is prepared for life after the show
the barn is surely where all the action seems to be these days, interesting & freaky

paloma and jens fight was so unexpected @ least for me but i admit i was so happy to see paloma put in her place by one of her own soldiers grin
what did k1 do to uti's hand? the scar looks nasty and we all know there is no love lost between the 2 but k1 keeps trying to convince africa that uti is his "brother" and that he likes him. His dairy today was so unconvincing and he is so lucky meryl didnt swap him

which brings me to the nominees this week, mwisho vs paloma

we all still remember mwisho nominating our boy on about 2 occassions and uti has never nominated him
y did mwisho swap munya when uti was up? looked like he wanted uti knocked out but thankfully 'africa" thought otherwise. now does naija vote for him and make uti's competition stiffer or do they eliminate mwisho by voting paloma?
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by Ambber(f): 6:21pm On Sep 07, 2010
Uti is better off without Sheila. She has actually made it easy for him. What manner of man is Hanny? And Sheila?
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by Ambber(f): 6:26pm On Sep 07, 2010
Naija should just rest this week. Mwisho doesn't really have Uti's back. Mwisho might get naija's vote it doesn't stop him from walking like Sheila.
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by dgb4(m): 6:28pm On Sep 07, 2010
I thinks its hitime we eliminate Mwisho!
to make the game easier for our boi Uti.

Eliminating Anty Paloma is just like killing mosquito with a bee around the corner
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by dominique(f): 6:41pm On Sep 07, 2010
We need the mnc countries on our side, besides the zambians (k hummer, poc, messiman etc) sending hateful messages to uti and naija cannot make you feel like saving their rep. Needless to say, paloma is an annoying witch. Mwisho gets my vote jare. I dont even see him as such a huge threat anymore.

firstly, true that uti is now more focused and more censored,

2ndly, i saw the episode where tart came to sheila and opened her legs saying 'do u want some chocolate" sheila dipped her hand into the honeypot (and yeaaaaa i saw it) i cleared my eyes shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked all tart could say "u dont want africa to see that", sheila was as drunk as a skank!!!

3rdly, the barn is the place to be, the moment the drunk hsmates were asleep, i tuned into the hause and the moment i saw munya, paloma blowing big big grammer, i use speed off TV go sleep. the barn is surely driving ratings as hell, not to talk of the sheila, hanny conji-capades

lastly, the voting is controlled by two countries, nigeria and zimbos
massive thumb printing and multiple voting,

the last four munya, mwiso, jen and uti

sheila is scared stiff of uti

she no fit try am if uti dey around

the point is dat hanny cant kip up with the areas of similarities of interest she has with uti

all she has wit hanny is conji initiated lust caused by boredom and lots of alcohol
Re: Big Brother Africa 5 (the Official Thread) Is Here! by beeswax: 7:53pm On Sep 07, 2010
@kobikwelu sheila scared stiff of uti? I don't think so at all, if she was as u say then why did she do what she did with meryl when uti was also in d same house?
I think d girl is sexually frustrated and is lettin it all out on any male or female housemate dat shows interest, she and uti have a mutual respect for each other and will never misbehave together on screen. 9ja boy day respect himself, family and his country
