BREAKING: APC floors PDP, wins Bauchi senatorial by-election


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Bauchi South senatorial election held on Saturday.
The election was held in the seven local government areas in the senatorial district.

The results, announced by the electoral commission, INEC, shows the APC won in six of the seven local governments in the district.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in only Bogoro Local Government Area, the council of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

The APC candidate in the election, Lawal Gumau, will thus become the senator-elect for the district.

Mr. Gumau, a member of the House of Representatives, polled a total of 119,489 votes beating his closest rival, Ladan Salihu of the APC who polled 50,256 votes.

Reading out the collated results, Mr Fadam, a professor, said the

“ADC received 1754 votes.”

“APC received 119,489 votes.”

“APP eceived 11,717 votes.”

“DA got 467 votes.”

“GPN received 33, 079 votes.”

“KP received 240 votes.”

“MMN received 429 votes.”

“MPN received 322 votes.”

“NNPP received 22,896 votes.”

“PDC received 1,203 votes.”

“PDP received 50,256 votes.”

“SDP received 3,800 votes.”

He said a total of 256,763 votes were cast, out of which 245,652 were valid and 11,111 invalid.

“That Lawan Yahaya Gumau, having fulfilled all the requirements of the law and scored the highest votes, is hereby declared as returned,” Mr Fadam said.



And PDP could not secure 25% of the votes cast

Who could have thought APC would win Bauchi? 2019 will be very interesting.

I especially want to see what becomes of dogara. If he remains in APC he is certainly not going to win in the primary. If he goes to PDP whoever APC presents will most likely floor him.

Dogara and Tawbuwal's level of political suicidal should be used as case study for someone 's thesis.

Serves him to right. Many of the defected senators are just been outright deluded. A good number of them are in the Senate today because of Buhari's good will and nothing more.

Since he represents 3 LGA - Dass/Balewa/Bogoro constituency, all APC needs to do is to field somebody from either Balewa or Dass since he has been denying these LGAs a chance of representation for over 12 years now, play the religious card since he is a Christian in midst of Muslims and I tell you his name will be sorry in the next election.

He needs to shot whoever advised him to go again Buhari. Saraki could cos of his region can get away with it but Dogara and Tambuwal are just plain stupid. Sanni Sehu as well.

If PDP was a human being, a man, I would kill him, commit suicide and kill him again.

Anybody who wishes the return of PDP to this country will know no peace for life.

You are truly a political analyst. Unlike one Dundee United, who does not know anything about political structure in Nigeria.

Even Dogara himself knows this and that is why he is in a fix. The Governor who is also from the same senatorial
zone with him knows this too and that is why he does not want any form of reconciliation because he knows that he poses no threat and wants to disgrace him completely.

From the result,PDP is not doing bad.

PDP over 40% vote in the North.

2019 would be one hell of an election.
