Residents of Owerri, Imo state capital, woke up to a shocking and gory sight this morning after spotting a dead body in the middle of the road. It was gathered that the lady who was apparently killed by unknown assailants and her naked body dumped along Port-Harcourt road - had some of her body parts removed.

Her head and one breast were removed by the attackers suspected to be ritualists after one of her legs was badly injured.

The shocking corpse cause tension and unrest among residents and passersby who gathered at the scene. 

The police authorities have been alerted as the corpse is yet to be evacuated.
