the reality is that Nigeria population is far overboard, far more than resources and infrastructure, note that most northerners don't go to school if they do some schools will have almost half-a-million applicants; please don't mention corruption even China and Indian are among world poorest due to huge population. we seriously need a strong and effective birth control and China-like one-child policy will be a good starting point

You are absolutely right. How I wish those Innovative and Enterprise Studies were included in Jamb back then, I would have gone there before going to the University.

Lagos has just 3 tertiary institutions even with the massive population.

It has created an artificial rush and importance for unilag.

UNILAG don't take two sittings since 2007. It is really good you gave your brother that piece of advice. I knew a lot of guys here from Lagos that graduated from UNIBEN. Though UNILAG to admit on merit (except the supplementary list), but the catchment area need to stop it is a pure discrimination. The irony of it is UNILAG is the first University established by the federal government not like other first generation universities established by Regional and colonial govt, so they are not supposed to be using that nonsense catchment area.

Obviously, Education in Nigeria is clearly a Scam... I little wonder why people allow these varsities fleece them of the little money they would have ordinarily used in doing something meaningful for themselves... Maybe, hand work or a very Good trade would suffice more efficiently.. Failed educational sector..
