There are airports at Asaba, Oba and Enugu with little or no passengers and this is a 2-hours' journey from both ends, if the road is passable.. The distance from Shanghai to Pudong Airport in China is about 3 hours, including the delay in traffic, yet Shanghai has only one Airport. Nigerian leaders are clueless and wicked! Give us passable.roads and the Airports will be useless.

There is high level poverty and hunger in Ebonyi State. Civil Servants in Ebonyi State are earning peanuts. Since the inception of Umahi's administration, no formal recruitment exercise has been conducted in the State, yet graduates of Ebonyi State origin are turning out every year from higher institutions of learning. Let industries be set up in the real sector of the economy to create jobs and increase per capita income. In this, the vicious circle of poverty, which is prevalent in the state will be severed. Politics is the only viable business in Ebonyi State, hence, it is deadly as that is the only means of survival.

Human Capital Development is key to socio-economic development of a young State like Ebonyi. Let the standard of living of Ebonyians be improved instead of building elephant projects that have no direct impact on the common man in the state. Tell me how a hungry man will think of going to an airport for a flight when he/she cannot afford t-fair for a public bus. Abeg mr governor go and settle ofenakpa and nsorbo fighty, izzi and ikwo fight, okpoitumo in izzi and jetomo in cross river state,osofia edda and part of cross river state, nweda and ikwo plus other village vs village fight scarterd arround the small poor state than building airport that hv no meaning to abakaliki pple

Kai where do I start let me pray for you. Get sense in Jesus name.

He has tried no doubt about that. We have one of if not the best road networks in d country thanks to him but human capital development should be d top of his list right now. Kids are still on d street hawking bout within and outside the state and people don't see us beyond that.Governor eqwu did so much in that area (education and human development) that's y he was later appointment minister of education (he messed up big time on d big stage). So in conclusion my brother he is a good governor but With Enugu airport nearby, should an airport be a priority now? We can Chanel those funds to more productive use.
