we broke up couple of years back.she called me last week to inform me of her wedding in the first week of July and after which she  solicited for funds she later sent her account details.is it compulsory i give her?after all she is not marrying me.

Of course it's not compulsory you financially assist your ex, especially if she's not single. It's one thing to give money to assist an ex that's still unattached, if you parted as friends. I doubt her fiance would be pleased to see you sending money to a lady that's soon to be his wife.
