U don't know saraki. He that became Senate president cos of his onus . Just watch our he will change the timetable for election. Den hold inec to their balls cos of their budget. What many of the Online e-political analysts fail to factor in is that in Nigeria's presidential election, ethnic identity is number-1 factor (very unfortunate)

Buhari is occupying the slot of the North and most Northerners won't abandon a core Hausa-Fulani irredentist like Buhari and queue behind Saraki who actually is a Yoruba man with a distant (and possibly questionable) Fulani ancestry.

Why didn't the Core North support his father, the late Dr Olusola Saraki in the 1979 NPN presidential primary despite his privileged background, wealth and education but preferred to support Sheu Shagari?

Most Yoruba people won't also vote for Saraki (to use the 'slot' of the Yorubas) who though is a Yoruba man but prefer not to identify with the Yoruba people.

This is that point where APC has to tread gently. The guy is not just Senate President, he is also opposition leader. Opposition leaders are handled with care if you as a sitting government hopes to have any face among the committee of nations. Every attack on him as Senate President is viewed as an attack on the Senate and every attack on him as opposition leader is viewed as an attack on democracy. You don't have to like it, just accept it and deal wisely.
