Morning Elders, i just got an old fashioned Ford Mondeo (2002) ,Duratec HE ,2.0ltr engine car last week and from the reviews and YouTube videos I've seen, i'm aware its not a luxury car but it's performance and handling are good considering the cost to get it down to Nigeria with all the paperwork.
Need i say it's a Tokunbo, direct from Cotonou and it's going to be more of a business venture for me in order to augment my salary.
My uncle who's a car dealer told me i will get a good value for money if i carry out the routine maintenance check.
So I'd like to ask if anyone here has ever driven a Mondeo or has any advise for me on its maintenance.
P.S : I'm 27 and it's my first car , i feel i could use some advise and encouragement .

Personally I don't trust any car with the blue oval logo barge in front. But let's wait for nurey's assertion.

Chairmen in the house, I greet you all.

I need honest opinion/comparison between Lexus IS350 2008 and Acura TL 2010.

Looking forward to your replies...

Acura TL body parts can be very expensive.
IS350 engine costs over 1m. Hard to kill it, though.
Both are about par in terms of interior luxury. TL has a bigger interior, though.
IS350 is more reliable and will be cheaper to own in the long term.
IS350 is faster and handles better.

Good evening my fellow great dudes in the house!
I'm pondering on shifting gear to American made cars, what'd you recommend for me considering price, maintenance, fuel economy, climate, etc.?
Thanks already and God bless.

V6 has two banks of cylinders, three on each side. I6 is one single bank of six cylinders. As a result, V6's are smaller since they're more compact. Kinda like folded at an angle. I6's are longer.

Relative to V6's, I6 are generally easier to work on. Better accessibility. Depends on how the V6 is mounted tho. Horizontally or transversely.

I6's have better exhaust notes. They're also more stable. On the flip side, V6's are more balanced. Better weight distribution means less stress across the surface area of the engine.

These days, only BMW uses I6's. Mercedes has started using them too.

Most other marques use V6's. Nissan and Toyota have also used I6's in the past, though. The 2JZ and RB are notable examples, I believe.

There's also the flat six. Used by Porsche and Subaru. Then the VR6 used by VAG.

people who don't understand vehicles always debunk it.

The Mitsubishi Montero is a work horse, a vehicle you will enjoy. The only problem is some are not to be bought because they are cheap and naija used.

1. Mitsubishi engines smoke easily when wrong engine oil is used

2. The vehicle wiring is very delicate, one wrong wiring and the brainbox gets it grin when brainbox gets it ultimate search begins as the part is a bit scarce.

most people don't know Mitsubishi is one big company that manufacture and sell engines to third party companies. innoson sources engines from Mitsubishi.

This particular car is a rally winner in all ramifications from Sahara to lost desert. It is a very capable off-roader envy of others in it's class.

The only bad Montero I Know is the one in mortal Kombat smiley
