Don't worry we will pay attention to both IT and agriculture. we won't relegate one for the other.

America is really funny

All in the bid to be bigger than China... Apple that sale less than 120 million phones and laptop ( that Samsung even make more profit then them) is bigger more than twice than Samsung

Amazon that service less than 400 million people is bigger than alliexperess that service billions

This are just shares manipulation and over blown imaginary figure

It can never be converted to real money any attempt to sale off this shares would see the price drop blow 20% of its present value

Money can't be hidden
I don't think the chinese use Aliexpress.

Except if they have a separate portal for chinese folks.

Europeans are dominant on the site.

I think u're seriously missing the point, datz a clear indication of innovations. Out of all that is written, the only thing you pointed out was Agriculture, wot happens to oil, steel era etc...

With the stories of Amazon, Apple, Google etc does that means that Americans don't eat or even export agricultural produce? How many of these Agricultural produce are able to serve a world reach?

The thing is since time immemorial Agriculture has been and will continue to be but the fact is Agriculture will never again drive economic force....

When time evolves, its best we move with time or we become slaves to those who have moved far ahead...

A single company can buy Nigeria, the whole 200million of them.

I'm sorry, we all need to be sold into slavery the second time. sad

That's a very dumb statement. If you want to be a slave, just say YOU BUFFALOWINGS3 should be enslaved.
Slavery was never a good thing. As a black man, you are still suffering from the psychological repercussion of being the only race to have been sold - by it's own people - to another race on a massive proportion.

If you have your senses right, this story of Amazon's success shouldn't have triggered you wishing to be enslaved, but rather it should pushes you to strive to enlighten our people about the importance of acquiring the REAL knowledge (Technology).
Being a slave would not make you technically savvy, but would kill every innovative spirit in you to come up with ideas to build a company like Amazon.

The more reason why we should also strive to achieve that level of self sufficiency in agriculture first before we start comparing ourselves to those countries you claim have achieved such feat and are now focusing on IT. Don't put the cart before the horse simple.

The secret of national wealth is diversification, not neglecting one for the other .

Leaving agriculture for IT is not different from leaving agriculture for oil

Nigeria would still be poor since it is still mono economy.

The US is an agriculture giant in every possible way.
They don't play with agriculture because that is the foundation.

The most important statement in this article for any Nigerian is this:
"The industry is amassing wealth and power, creating a new order in business where the most valuable resource is NO LONGER OIL, BUT DATA"
At a time in human history, agriculture was the major player for export, then the US had their cotton fields, plantations and all.
Then the world moved on to industrialization, the steel Era, then came the oil boom.
Then the world moved on to Technology
Now we have the data and IT age.
In all of this where is Nigeria? Nigeria is still talking about Agriculture.
