They stalk you on Nairaland for months. You eventually exchange contacts and start communicating frequently, and on a deeper level. At first, they seem like 'not your type' but, with their unrelenting, you finally fall head over heels in love with them. Just a few weeks of romance which peaked at some passionate love-making, they all of sudden become too busy. They stop calling, texting or stopping to check on you. A study carried out to examine the experience of ghosting found that out of 550 men and women, 25% reported having been ghosted, and about 20% said they've ghosted someone with whom they were romantically involved. Do those numbers shock you? Then brace up for more. It's possible they'll increase geometrically in the coming days, as technology is becoming more and more entrenched in modern dating connections. https://chofam.com/2018/09/ghosting-the-popular-breakup-strategy-millennials/ |
