zomby:The reason for the brown roofs is the heavy than pour couple with high intense sun... the mixture changes the colour of aluminium roofing sheet, majority of building uses aluminium and its a bit expensive converting a house that uses aluminium to modern days roofing style... no brown roofs in new sites, u hardly see Brown Roofs around Apete, Omi Adio and other new sites 1 Like |

there are more places in Ibadan without brown roof but they don't really show them because the brown roof really describes Ibadan.. go to places like ring road, bodija, oluyole, eleyele, jericho, agodi and see for yourself and the supermarket the writer mentioned is called palms shopping mall |

damtan: My friend, the sophistication of commercial activity is key to categorizing a place as a modern city. Ibadan for all its rustic charm is not a sophisticated modern city. Or can you tell why you think it is? |

Ibadan
Running splash of rust and gold
Flung and scattered among seven hills
Like a broken china in the sun

I really can't fathom nor understand where these individuals stats, records about Ibadan are creeping out from if not borne out of... Bitterness, envy, jealously, anger, frustration, self depression, social and mental disability to reason, differentiate between facts and fictions. Enough of these bitterness already. Like the saying goes..if you can not beat them join them' end of quote. 1 Like
