Noop, we don't have a working SO (standard organization) system in Nigeria. Or laws that prohibit certain vehicle from entering Nigeria.

Most people buy tokunbo , second hand and third hand vehicles, who will recall what ??

Re ? Lol...even Innoson Motors, is yet to issue a re on any of her brands....We run a different system here in Naija, where we would rather be re ed by ‘road side mechanics’...i.e Kazeems.

if you go to any Toyota authorised dealership you will see periodical bulletins of model recalls but nobody goes there because their cars/service are too expensive. As at last week there was a service bulletin recalling RAV4S.


But I assume these recalls will only be honored if your car came to Nigeria officially. If you imported your car yourself, new or tokunboh you are on your own.

Even those that were recalled from north America ended up their way to Africa....

Very very few Nigerians get to buy brand new cars in Nigeria. Cotonou and Belgium cars are the mainstay, so how can you recall Cotonou cars, when most of them are probably stolen or cars affected by flood

Why are some persons deriding Innoson for not having had a recall? Vehicles are recalled when manufactures notice some faults in their system which ought to have been detected before they are released to the market. This ought to be an anomaly.

The fact that Innoson hasn't yet had a recall should be something deserving of commendation.
