PDP Leadership Surrender Osun by fresho4real(m): 12:05pm On Sep 28, 2018 |
What's on your mind? The PDP leadership surrendered Osun. When it came to crunch time, the PDP let Adeleke down. He must have felt like an orphan Almost everyone knew Omisore would be vital. You can ask the US embassy. The PDP sent no one. Saraki went with Okupe who is just coming out of retirement. Saraki's entourage had looked rich until the APC visited Omisore. The APC showed desperation. And put its birthright on the line. The party chairman was there. 6 governors went with him. They must have seen the chickens offered at that shrine by the PDP. And they must have offered cows. Even if Omisore were a pastor. The PDP chairman was in Wike's boyquarters in Port Harcourt. Wike himself was not interested. He is peering down his political microscope looking for the most painful ways to deal with the party if they mess with him. Okowa didnt show up. Fayose was working out his exit route. Even that refugee , the governor of Kwara, didn't show up. They left it to Davido and his uncle. The APC meticulously took back Lasun whose intimidating influence in Orolu LGA was proved last week. While the APC patched up its net, the PDP ran helter skelter, from pillar to post and then to court. It was injury time. Even Fani Kayode who is from Ife was nowhere to be seen. He must have been in Abuja. From there he was calling Omisore. And must have warned him not to join hands with the Fulani jihadists! He saw no need to lend a helping hand in knocking at doors for Adeleke. But he will take to twitter today and let out emotions. Where was Ben Bruce? Where was his love for the party? He was tweeting it from Abuja while Ganduje was sleeping in Ile Ife. We can forgive Dino Melaye. He is not sure of his own ticket yet. But where were Gbenga Daniel and Atiku? Atiku was needed in Orolu! These social media noises cant help anyone. The leaders of the PDP failed Adeleke. And they failed him big time. But you know what ? They will blame it on Buhari. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Nice write up I must say. Just what we want in south West, PDP must continue to make mistakes. They are very very poor playing opposition How they handled Omisore cost them dearly. They under rate his influence in Ife axis, and that's why they picked their deputy governorship candidate from Ile ife. With Omisore in PDP and this Adeleke performance, PDP would have pulled 50,000 or more lead. 6 Likes 1 Share |

So you actually expected Omisore to go with Adeleke? Do you know why Omisore left PDP in the first place? It was because Adeleke backstabbed him! Do you know why Omisore made so much effort even though He knew he couldn’t win . It was to injure pdp as much as he can . He got his killer move chance and he made good use of it . Osun to ti n dara ko nii baje 7 Likes |

To make it look like Adeleke lost the election is nothing but pure mischief...Adeleke was robbed of his mandate using rogue state apparatus and there is nothing any PDP leader could have done to stop it ...Our only hope now is the judiciary and that was why I advised Adeleke to get an injunction against the 're Run initially to throw the vote thieves off guard 5 Likes |

FarahAideed:I kept telling them on twitter that there is nothing they can do other than go to the tribunal, they have a strong case and will win. INEC has failed us, no election next year. I just hope Wike no go carry madness destroy PDP primaries cause we need Kwankwaso. PDP get middlebelt, southeast and southsouth, the core north kwankwaso will share the spoils. We go win the election. The Yoruba's are our biggest challenge but we still have some reasonable ones among them 3 Likes |

Johnnyessence:Everywhere was calm because it wasn’t a landslide win. APC ego was really bruised because it was a narrow escape. In such situation, a sober reflection is in order. 7 Likes 1 Share |

FarahAideed:The point the op is trying to make, which I totally agree with is that the so called PDP executive leadership left the most important item on their table, defending and frontally taking on APC in the rerun, and where more concerned on where their doomed presidential primaries would hold. It was obvious APC would use all foul means to win the rerun because their leadership, executive, past and present governors, many of who have shady, criminal backgrounds, have won elections by rigging and gangsterism and have perfected same over the years. Taking Osun by whatever means in that rerun would have given PDP more leverage than a combination of all their presidential candidates vying together can,but they bungled the opportunity big time. 2 Likes |

raumdeuter: Must they go to Osun, people know their choice and who they will vote for, APC use force to win. It is only in Osun election that you will see where INEC will minus a recorded voting number from a polling unit result sheet and said that there was a mistake in it. |

Odingo1: Its not a must for them to go, Just like its not a must for you to read for exams, It only shows that you are serious If they are serious they have to go and motivate the voters. They have a narrow lead, they saw APC making moves yet they stayed away APC planned better, They quickly mend fences with Lasun, they reconciled Adeoti and the masterstoke to yesterday was the Omisore move. While APC sent 6 governors and the Party chairman to Ife, where are the PDP governors to sway Omisore? Where was Gbenga Daniel? Where was Secondus? Fayose, Wike the Kwara governor, where were they? They left Adeleke and Davido alone Emotions and wailing on social media dont win election on the ground work does 4 Likes 1 Share |
