Senator John Owan Enoh won Cross River State APC gubernatorial primaries.


He scored a total of 82,272 votes to beat his

closest rival, High Chief Edem Duke, who had 7,367 votes.



The result was announced by Mr Ali Magaji,

Chairman of the Committee sent by the

National Working Committee of the APC.



Total number of accredited voters were,

106,212,

Valid votes, 101,095

Invalid votes, 117

Votes casts, 101,212.

Usani Usani, 1,778

John Odey, 3,892

Prof. Eyo Nyong, 5,786

Edem Duke, 7,367

Owan Enoh, 82,272.

Wish him the best of luck. Cross river state is another locale that needs to be shaken up and the ruling PDP dislodged. Cross Riverians are at the wrong end of mediocre leadership which has visibly deteriorated since the days of Donald Duke. Without credible political competition the people have been left to chose between the bad and the ugly. The good has since fled.

Usani Uguru Usani is of the faction that is not recognized by the national, I am not sure why PMB and Oshiomole are sitting there and watching him divide the party, he should be cautioned.
The recognized APC held here primaries yesterday wherein Sen Owan Enoh emerged, only downside is the fact that he comes from the central senatorial district who had Imoke as Governor for 8 years just recently.

If Cross River northern senatorial district are/were serious, they'd have fielded a candidate with deep pockets rather than John Upan Odey who in all ramifications is qualified to lead the state safe for his lack of financial clout compared to his other contestants. Our politics is still influenced by money thus it would have been suicidal for the APC to give their ticket to John. It is sad that money talks here but it is the bare truth.
All Owan has to do is reach out to the leaders of the southern senatorial district and sign a pact to do just a term and hand over to a southerner else he stands no chance cos Ayade if reelected will hand over power to a southerner after 4 years.
All of this is taking into consideration the PDP zoning formula tho.

Was elected in the CRSHA in 1999, presided to the house of reps in 2007 and was there till he dislodged Ndoma Egba to represent the central senatorial district of Cross River State in the senate in 2015.
