Well all i can say is

'The mistakes of yesterday doesn't determine today, but what you do today determines your tomorrow'

A man is not judged by his fails but rather how he tends to make amends and make himself better.

Let's look at his present then shall we since you think he may have changed.

As at this year, Atikus Intel did all they could to avoid paying taxes to the FG. They have dodged and dodged until PMB came on board and forced them to remit $20m and $14m backlog of unpaid taxes. He was still bleeding Nigeria dry even after all this years.

The man has changed right?

In the lead-up to his endorsement of Atiku, SaharaReporters gathered that Obasanjo had told his close associates that Atiku was "a most disloyal human being"; however, the former President added that he would "support anything that can remove Buhari from power".

The salient point is if Nigerians truly desire to get out of recycle bin of leadership the best presidential candidate is among Obi,Sowore Omoleye and Kinsley I have listened with keen interest to these people and I can vouch that they have brilliant ideas upstairs and with proven experiences to match but the fact is,given the present situation whereby a party with abysmal performance in economy,security,education,anti-corruption fight and so on is desperate to stage a comeback by all means this calls for a candidate in whom it can find its match rough for rough and smooth for smooth. Both Buhari and Atiku have credibility flaws one is a shield for corruption and the other with the track records of weighty corruption. Why are many Nigerians that voted for Buhari in 2015 are rejecting him today?Because of:
1.His insensitivity and belated action against Fulani herdmen killings across the states
2.His selective and vindictive fight against corruption
3.Nepotism and despotism
4.He has become chasm or cavity across religious and tribal divides
5.Incompetence
6.His inability to fulfil many of his campaign promises.
7.Intense hunger in the land
If only there would be free and fair elections and Nigerians would get rid of sentiments and vote for the best candidate among Sowore, Obi and Kingsely, Nigeria would be in her land of fulfilment.

I really don't understand the thinking of Nigerians.

A man that has been cursed from here to the moon suddenly becomes a saint?

A man that has no loyalty to any party, but decamps at the slightest opportunity when things aren't working in his favor is now the chosen one?

A man that has been declared fantastically corrupt by every politician past and present is now a saint?

He was VP for 8 years for crying out loud, fell out with his immediate boss...was ridiculed for buying everybody with his deep pockets, the same scenario is playing out and people are rejoicing.

Are we really ready?

The major bane in this country is the amount that has been stolen from the masses from past leaders..

One man comes and blocks all avenues, collects oil blocks from previously corrupt people.

Stops the federal government payment of staff for a previous presidents private institutions and u all think they won't rally to chase him out?

The only problem these past leaders have with buhari is fear of the unknown...he is rigid and determined. He has blocked their various sources of stealing public funds and the masses are rejoicing that they want to put someone that will open the coffers back

Nigerians need to wake up

The amount of money stolen by these people will buy some African countries...

If we make the wrong choice in 2019, mark my words, Nigeria will be sold.

Fela said it all.... We suffer and smile

What a pity.

This op-ed captured succinctly my sentiments about the whole brouhaha currently making waves all about.

Sometimes one is forced to lose hope in the Nigerian project from how her citizens have been so battered and reduced to a lame duck suffering from the Stockholm syndrome.

The current bandwagon of praise to the PDP, its flag bearers and the "Ebola of Owu" is becoming so irritating and depressing that I have lost the zeal to comment on most of the political threads.

I wonder how we'd get it right in this country when the so-called educated youths and future of the country are unable to see beyond their nose and use that matter in their skull to discern, reason and make critical judgements.

It hurts so bad to see that the majority of us are blind to history and are gloatingly happy and willing to see it repeats itself all because we feel a particular government isn't living up to its billing and as such we end up playing into the hands of these cunning and megalomaniac hands of these old ones who understand how to check our pulse and feed off our sentiments.

Lets even take out some time and assume Buhari was the next worst thing since sliced bread, does that mean Atiku was the next best option, are there no other candidates vying for the Presidency and did it have to get to Obasanjo and his self-centred ilks to endorse Atiku for him to have turned into Nigeria's coming Messiah?

Every time the "whites" call us out for what we truly are "people who can't think critically, make reasonable decisions and judgements and self-govern" we go on a tantrum-throwing and raising the dust of Racism. The honest truth no matter how bitter it is because I am negroid too is, we have been studied over time and found to fit the above stereotype which has obviously always been a cut-to-size fit. Look around you and beyond at the black race wherever they abound and you'd understand.

We are a people who lack the wherewithal for the most part to reason, create, invent or organise ourselves properly except we are whipped or forced into doing stuff. This explains the follow-follow herd-mentality we are known to exhibit. The moment Mr A says Cow dung is the next best piece of meat, to hell with its flesh, the black man won't take out time to query this assertion before taking it whole, hook line and sinker and further propagating the news going forward. Little surprise our roads are filled with certain make and model of cars with funny sounding nicknames all chosen by probably the first man that imported such and true to type everyone else bought into it and it caught on.

The funniest of the present political going on is that, just a week ago, so many were on here shouting and calling for Tinubu's head for exactly the same thing Obj and Atiku are presently been worshipped for. If there's a better word other than hypocrisy in the dictionary, that's what I'd love to attribute this character to.

It's such a shame and most times brings me close to tears how my race truly is what the white man thinks it as, but it is what it is no matter how bitter a pill it might seem to swallow, we live and fit the billing.

It is well with us all.

To speak the truth, there's no gainsaying Obj still isn't totally cool with the person of Atiku

forget all the recent remarks Obj would never have inclined to Atikus endorsement were there a better and more formidanle opposition to Buhari and his APC maggots.

Atleast Obj himself knows regardless how bad Atiku is he is a better administrator than the daura old man and his team of misfits

Dear Mr 'intellectual',

Nigeria is not complex to govern just the same way it is not complex to steal from. What I think is complex is trying to understand the mindset of the people to govern, especially how confused they seem most times.

If that's not the case, why would anyone, especially in academia argue how Atiku is different from Buhari? How he would fight Corruption better?. How he has the interest of the people at heart?
In fact, our 'intellectuals' are arguing that his University where students pay 1.6 million naira is a 'people-University'.
You claim Buhari (75) is too old for a Country of mostly young people. But Atiku to you is "young" at 73. The difference between the ages of the two I think is the volume of the fluid in your brain.

The same pattern of story that was said of Buhari- his driver being Igbo- in 2014 has started making rounds on the Internet about Atiku. It was as if Buhari's Igbo driver ran away after the elections. You have started telling us how Atiku married from all tribes and for that reason he is not nepotistic like Buhari.
It is only in Nigeria one's libidinal 'tourism' to taste all pussies proves Nationalism. He should have married from the 36 states. Nonsense!

I came to this conclusion a long time ago and now is yet another opportunity to affirm it that Nigeria is not yet an enlightened Country. We only have people with certificates, forged and unforged roaming around.
