The Edo State Government House is also located there .

Some famous streets in GRA, Benin city include Reservation Road, Boundary Road, Ihama Road, Akhionbare, Adesuwa Road and Osadebey Avenue, etc.

Sadly, most of these roads are in a terrific state of disrepair.

Currently, some of the roads, or a significant section of these roads, in Benin GRA have been completely abandoned by motorists. This is because floodwater typically concentrate on some of the bad portions of these roads, making motoring quite tasking.

Residents of the location laments about how their cries over the years have fallen on the deaf ears of successive Edo state governments. They claim that their lamentations date as far back as the Lucky Igbinedion-led administration.

Quite noticeable on these roads are the complete absence of drainage systems on the streets and roads in GRA, Benin city.

GRA, Benin is also home to several of the state's most upscale hotels, schools, commercial ventures, etc.  These enterprises represent some of the most taxed commercial enterprises in Edo state.

GRA Benin city is located in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo state.

Evbareke Jenkins Osunde is the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council.

The Governor of Edo state is Godwin Obaseki.

Really. That's my home and I lived in GRA. The roads were not in that manner while Oshiomole was governor. Barely two years now I have been out of naija and I am shocked to see this.

GRA,Benin city is the worst government reserved areas in Nigeria.

That area was never planned,it has always been flooded whenever it rains. If GRA is like just think of the suburbs.

Edo state has never been lucky with a good governor.

The Benin moat was created centuries ago to check flooding but successive government has not deemed it fit to buy into that idea to reduce flooding in Benin city the delipidated roads everywhere. Oshiomo'OLE used the Benin storm project to loot Edo state treasury to build his iyamoh mansion and marry a model.

I think the wrought in Edo state started during the administration of ex-governor Lucky Igbenedion, Edo state allocations from crude oil was looted by the Igbenedion dynasty leaving the state in penury and poverty.

Ex-governor Adams Oshiomole said during his administration that he is NOT GOING TO REPAIR ROAD FOR THE RICH in particular those rich people in the GRA area who have benefited so much from government.

So some of those folks who are coming to nairaland to blame Obaseki, Oshiomole should look back at what Edo state received during the period of governor Lucky Igbenedion and that of Comrade Adams Oshiomole.

Lucky Igbenedion received so much money but he looted and misappropriated the money.

The father of the Ex-governor, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbenedion is busy wasting funds on endless birthday.

If Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbenedion volunteer to fund the repair of the GRA ROADS will heaven fall? That is where he Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbenedion ( the father of the ex-governor ) has his residence or his living apartment. Chief Gabriel O. Igbenedion is a tenant of the GRA Benin city.

There are so many rich people in Edo state both local and foreign based too that can support to help out?

Those waiting for Oshiomole to come and repair Edo state road will be day dreaming.

Like I said earlier, Comrade Oshiomole said he is not going to repair roads for the rich in the GRA area of Benin City as he preferred to spend that little fund to help the poor residents.

Unfortunately, President Muhammadu Buhari is wasting federal resources that he could as well send to poor APC States like Edo state for their support for his federal government.

Edo state voted massively for APC but President Muhammadu Buhari is only concerned about his northern people.
