There are many ways to go about this..... Its good the boy was reported and the money was collected back.... But for a child to see no reason to work hard and only believe in ripping people off shows what a failed parent he is..... The father did well but should also ask himself some questions..... Why did my son do this? Who is responsible for his laziness? Did i fail as a parent? Remember the boy venturing into yahoo shows how inadequate the parents are..... I do capitalize on some people's greed sometimes but I never defraud them to make money..... And if its not jazz then its greed that makes one become (a) fraud or defrauded.....

Sharp man ...gets paid for whistle blowing grin grin grin

ChangeIsCostant:
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Kaduna Zonal office has investigated a case of conspiracy and theft reported to the Commission by an exceptional father.

The father (name witheld) in April 2017 became a whistle blower after his son (then a secondary school student) intimated him that he had bought a house and a shop valued over N2 Million (Two Million Naira) only.

The information of the purchase shocked the father beyond his imagination as such he decided to make a formal complain to the Commission having perceived signs of fraud from his son's explanantion of how he got the money.

His son, Adamu, said he got the money through his phone line which after purchase he began receiving alerts running into millions of Naira.

Investigations into the matter began immediately and all parties involved were invited accordingly and their statements were taken as the principal accused person mentioned two other accomplicies in the crime.

In the course of investigations, it was discovered that Adamu withdrew monies in bits from a First Bank account number 3033389599 owned by one Porong Daniel Nash (a farmer in plateau state); and credited same to different accounts.

Consequently, all accused persons where arrested and recoveries were made to the tune of N939,000 (Nine Hundred and Thirty Nine Thousand Naira) only of which same was returned to the rightful owner by the Zonal Office.

This man is NOT an example of a true father... Why? Because he exchanged his son's loyalty, confidence and trust with betrayal..
Its clear that the son is a terrible cheat and thief.. But for this man to report his child to the authorities and still collect ''cash reward'' for exposing his offspring, then it makes it clear that the father didn't report his son out of goodwill but because they were not able to settle amiciably.. It's clear that the percentage he wanted was not accepted by the son.
I'm afraid you are already basking in the euphoria that you have made a powerful comment judging by the number of likes you already have, but I'll tell you that this is a senseless comment. A young boy who already bought a house amounting to ₦2mn for his family (and his father still went ahead to report him), which other percentage are you talking about?

When a family member is eating a poisonous food and the people in the house do not talk and shout because of it, the problems from it may make no one in the house to sleep later. And when a family member brings into his house a contagious disease, if the family members do not immediately cry out, all of them may be infected quicker than expected. And blessed is the parent whose family member is not doing any tangible work and is bringing money into the house. That is primary fight against corruption from our homes. Corruption fighting should begins from our homes

Igbos will never see this as God fearing and good example for a civilized society, because crime is acceptable in their culture.

You will remember that Mutallab in Kaduna had reported the attitude of his son (UMar Abdumutallab) to both Nigerian Security and to the American Embassy long before he absconded and later attempted to blow up a passenger plane.

You have skewed way of seeing things. Are you telling us you be loyal to a thief because of relationship? Then you are nothing but a thief.

Yahoo-Yahoo is nothing but stealing.

WHATEVER REASONS THE FATHER MIGHT HAVE HAD, REPORTING HIS CRIMINAL SON WAS A NOBLE THING THAT LEAD TO THE POOR FARMER RECOVERING HIS SWEAT!

The father is an example of a good father. Before your son will bring shame to you like Evans the kidnapper brought to his family, this father decided to stop it at the bud.
If you are a victim of fraud I don't think you will post this.

Reporting his son was a commendable thing to do, collecting a cash reward for it, was a dishonorable thing to do.

That is not the kind of thing you do and collect cash reward, it is the kind of thing you should do and reflect upon where you failed as a parent
He didn't collect cash reward. Atleast it was not stated there.
The man in the pix is d farmer whose money was recovered.
