increasing minimum wage is so useless in a country like Nigeria were wicked governors owe their workers several months of salaries... now how will increasing the minimum wage help if not causing inflation and yet people won't still get paid.

take a clue from kogi state governor who's owing at least 9 months salary.how's he gonna pay the new wage?

first things first: labour should instead mobilize their members to make sure states pay their workers outstanding salaries first before this useless and senseless agitation for new minimum wage would be considered a merit

Where’s the private sector on minimum wage increase? Are there enforceable laws to ensure the private sector complies with wage increase?

Also, I think the Federal system is simply not working for Nigeria especially on cases like this, states should make their own laws and decide their minimum wages. Th living condition in Abuja for instance is quite different from living conditions in Ibadan. FG could maintain a minimum benchmark but states should take lead on the actual minimum wages in their states
