Urgent ! Career Decision Confusion by engrJAAB: 11:02am On Nov 05, 2018
My friend is very excited but confused right now. He is a high flyer and intelligent guy. He needs to make a decision between scholarships, admission and jobs.
He is a young man with a simple family (a wife & kid). He has a BSc and MSc in the engineering field. He is very open to working in the academia or industry.

See the breakdown of choices below. Pls advice him sincerely like a friend/brother. I will also read through and give him my opinion too.

1. Secured a Fed govt scholarship for PhD study in germany (Due 2019). Currently still seeking admission/approval from supervisors.

2. Already received 2 admission offers from Univ in Australia but no scholarship. Currently applying for an Australian govt scholarship. (Due 2019)

3. Received a job offer from a multinational oil servicing company (Salary like 450k). To reply before October 2018 ending.

He has a moral constraint in taking the Job offer if he intends to leave in maybe 6 months for his studies. Should he forget about PhD and take the offer to grow and be a top professional or leave the job and focus on his studies.

I am sure you see his confusion now. Abeeggiii make una help am oooo.
